Dallas is going to keep trading back to save as much cap space as possible. They want Dwight Howard, not any of these rookies.

Add another Eastern Conf team that the Wiz should leapfrog (assuming Boston trades PP and KG).
Boston, Bucks, Bobcats, Magic, and Philly will all be worse than the Wiz next year.
Assuming Miami, Bulls, Nets, Knicks, & Pacers are better, we should be in the 6-8 range (and I think we will be better than NY next year).

I would trade up for Karasev, but I think ATL takes him at 17.

I wouldn't mind the Wizards trading up for Dieng if he's still available in the early 20's.

Yeah, you're probably right there. They'll actually save cap space with each second rounder they get as the rookie minimum is lower than the vet minimum.

Re: Official 2013 Draft Thread - Part VIII
Cleveland was stupid to pass on Jonas to take Thompson, and stupid to take Waiters last year instead of Drummond. They could have taken Oladipo at 1.
Imagine they they could have:
PG: Kyrie/Livingston
SG: Oladipo/Gibson
SF: Gee/Watson
PF: Jonas/Zeller
C: Drummond/Varajeo

He's a slightly built 3/2 - wouldn't exactly fill a need for the Wiz especially if Webster returns.

This draft has been the most bizarre draft I can recall.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

I'll take Tony Mitchell at 38 if he's there. If not, I like Withey or Dieng if they are. If not, a guard like Wolters or McCallum. If not... I don't really care what we do then.
Wouldn't mind getting Colton Iverson with that late second rounder.

Crazy draft so far.
I'd have no problem with what Cleveland did at #1 if I were a Cavs fan. Bennett could very easily end up being one of the best players in this class, if he's gained (or gains) enough length.
I also have no problem with EG passing on Noel. A guy whose game is predicated on explosiveness off the floor to rebound and protect the rim is really going to see his stock fall with a major knee injury, and rightfully so. What was his realistic upside? DeAndre Jordan?

He's a cheap young shooter. Ariza isn't here for more than 1 year. We can stash him potentially. He's the son of a coach. He'll work hard. He's the anti-Jan.

A more athletic Noah.

EG will sell both 2nd rounders while Ted claims that they had a "clever" draft

Withey, Dieng, Muscala, Plumlee - in that order. I'm not an Iverson fan - he reminds me of an even slower Aaron Gray.

Great pick by the Mavs to take Larkin. He's just a cold blooded player. Great character guy too.

I think Dieng would fit so well.
Pray he drops and we can trade up.

Cleveland is ecstatic, Karasev has fallen to 19.

2 good value picks by Atlanta, but I don't get it at all. Teague is real good, imo. And adding 2 of the lightest PG's in the draft... trade maybe?
