Oh REALY? I suppose you know a few 13 year olds that have nba potential? Do you have a mock for the 2018 draft? What moron thought we would trade two great players for 3 picks over SIX years ANd take a CRAP contract back?
We're a **** rebuilding team. We're not looking to win now. The Celtics will probably trade that pick before 2018 even gets here.
KG and Pierce don't have the great value around the league that you think they have. Quit being a homer. We weren't getting a good prospect back for them, we weren't getting a lottery pick back for them. This is reality. This is the type of offers we were going to get that. There was no way we were going to trade KG/Pierce and not have to back a bad contract or two or not acquire future picks down the line.
I would have taken Jordan and a pick for KG...I would have taken Asik for Pierce....these picks we got tonight will be WORTHLESS. We ALREADY will have our own lottery Picks and high 2nds if we just buy out pierce and let kG retire...and not have to pay Wallace 30 million.
And if watching the best player Cs have had in 20 years get traded for crap makes me a "homer" that's fine. Who's the homer anyway? Explain to me how you root or watch a '16 and '18 draft pick during the next two years?
The NBA isn't the developmental league. They get paid millions to play basketball. Rebuilding is okay and acceptable, but to just throw away KG and pierce to FING Jason Kidd in his 3rd day on the job is completely asinine. Danny blew this one big time.
DeAndre Jordan is overpaid just like Gerald Wallace is overpaid. Omer Asik has a large contract just like Gerald Wallace has a large contract. There was no way we were trading KG/Pierce without having to take big and most likely bad contracts.
You don't have to root for a 2016 or 2018 draft pick. This is 2013 man and we're a rebuilding team that will probably make a **** load of trades within the coming years. We'll probably trade those picks by then. You don't have to root for a pick. Gerald Wallace probably won't last that long on this team. This is the NBA. Just because you trade for something or sign a certain player, doesn't mean you're stuck with them.
Danny didn't blow anything. He got us three first round picks for 37 year old players with large contracts that could potentially play one season and then retire. Contrary to what you want to believe, there really weren't much better trade offers out there.
