Now we want to cut his minutes down, if he wasn't playing all those minutes,, is he still an all star?

An once we cut those minutes, his 11.9ppg an 11.1reb will look more like 9ppg 9reb

This is what I am scared of.

LMA will make the bucket

Noah will pass it to Boozer

...and Boozer will convert at a higher efficiency than Aldridge. Sounds like a good thing to me.

I didn't know Boozer showed up vs the Heat

Afterall, he couldnt score with SF Shane Battier guarding him

and I discount that LMA hasn't had talent around him. Some of those recent Portland teams were better than mediocre and still seemed to underachieve.

No, they were mediocre in the west, come on now.

You play up LMA and discount Noah. How convenient!

:rofl2:

Aldridge is a legit #2 guy, Noah is a role player.

Who cares that Noah is better than Aldridge in each and every statistic on the offensive end of the floor outside of jump-shooting percentage, if I say he's a legit #2 and Noah isn't then it must be true!!!

:rofl2:

So Noah's a #2 now? Just making sure.

He's passive at times, good thing he plays with a couple of big dogs.

Bosh is a really bright guy and I think works well in Miami. I don't see the same flexibility in LMA's game

Bosh is more than a complimentary player. He's sacrificing production/stats to play next to two hall-of-famers. Bosh at his best could be a #2 on a championship team.

Aldridge is the same, though historically less efficient than Bosh.

Funny thing is, I wanted Bosh when the FA frenzy was taking place and STILL would

I felt he would be a terrific compliment next to Jo and with Rose.

TO ME Bosh > LMA just for the reasons you indicate. I could see him (as I said at the time) playing a complimentary role on a championship team.

Wait a second....

Not very well he can't.

He's a competent man defender, he just doesn't get a ton of blocks or boards. Under Thibs I'm sure he would become very solid defensively. He certainly is good enough to guard the West's, Bosh's, and KG's of the east.

All you have to do is stand there with an arm up. Anyone can do that.

Noah is a non starter. Portland can go **** themselves. he's one of the best C's in the NBA and not someone we should be moving. there's only about 5-6 players in the NBA that he should be legitimately demanded in a package for and LMA is not even close to one of them.

I'm only trading Noah for Aldridge if we somehow get Asik or Lopez in a 3 way. pause

Not giving up the cats pick either. A simple 1st should be enough
Just a must-watch army of possessed ass-kickers laying the smack down night after night after night. People are gonna hate playing the Bulls this year.

Who cares if he's voted as an All-Star? It's about having the best players on your team.

He just isn't a difference maker. He's a nice player on a mediocre team.

6'11, huge wingspan, has a legit post game, was the #1 option on Portland, shows up in big games (dominates the bulls an heat, 2 of the best def in the NBA), Can put the ball on the ground if you close out of control, runs like a deer in the open court, potential to be a legit all star every year

Just like Noah can't score worth a damn. We need offense. We have defense to spare. Therefore, we should trade Noah for Aldridge. That simple.

There is more to offense than isolation scoring.

Did you watch the defense Battier was playing? The fact of the matter is that Boozer is more efficient than Aldridge.

If we are trading Noah, we should not include the Bobcats pick, Butler, or Mirotic. I think the blazers should throw something else in for Noah

Second option on offense? No.
Second best player on a championship team? Sure.

Only if LeBron is number 1.

Derrick plus Noah does not win a ring.

Shane Battier is 6'7 225lbs

Boozer is 6'9 266lbs

Come on now....what happens when Noah goes back to playing his regular minutes? What kind of number will he be putting up?
