Wade/Allen/FA

Why would the Rockets take 2 bad contracts that aren't expiring for him ? They could do so much better elsewhere.

It's funny how some say other teams improved and are gonna be more of a threat to us while pretending our postseason run was our best shot. Depth wise we may have become better, but with Wade's injury limiting him to his worst postseason, we were far from as dominant as we could be. People make it seem like this is the new standard. We could not add a single new player and have a more dominant postseason run next year just based of Wade not being that banged up.
With that being said, it could be fun. Everybody is not saying the Pacers are gonna get better and beat us because they took us to 7 games this year, people are gonna say Chicago is gonna challenge us and then the rude awakening follows. Dan should get ready, this could be the year for his best ran yet.

"The older you get, the less you want to go inside and get banged around," Wade told USA TODAY Sports. "So I want to be more of a consistent outside shooter."

Wade has never excelled as a long-range shooter. He has a 28.9% career average from three-point range and has taken decidedly fewer threes the past two seasons. After shooting at least 200 each year from 2008 to 2011, he attempted a combined 122 over the past two seasons.

Cutting down on three-point attempts has allowed Wade to play to his strength as a slasher, but it's also taken a toll on his body.

The 30-year old played through knee injuries all season and into the playoffs, resulting in inconsistent play in the postseason. The San Antonio Spurs saw him as such a non-threat that they often completely ignored him on the perimeter.

"I just want to be a little more comfortable behind the arc," Wade said. "I know this year I didn't shoot as many threes, so if I have to, I want to be more confident in it."

and then i see Ray Allen almost 38 years old trying to go inside in the finals, running nonstop behind screens to get an open shot, and i just smirk at this article.

Also StrengthNHonor's hatred for Bosh has hit that special GameTime/Joel level of hate.

I don't hate Bosh at all.

I love the guy. I love his attitude. He never complains. He works hard, he is the ultimate TEAM FIRST guy.

I love his intelligence, he's a smart guy and it helps on the court.

I love his goofy ass personality, which helps in the locker room and brings fans the lulz.

Back in 2010, I was defending Bosh and saying he was the better choice between him and Amare.

But on the court.... come on man. He doesn't fit well with this team.

The only thing Wade and Allen have in common is that they're shooting guards.

I don't hate Joel. I hate the fact that he is on our team. Joel hit the lottery, I can respect that. His getting paid 4 million dollars to miss passes, miss layups and play the game exactly how you shouldn't. Imagine if your accountant couldn't do math? or your lawyer had a hard time speaking in front of people? lol

Oh well...maybe he brings something positive during practice. who knows. But almost every team has a bad contract. It happens.

os jj hickson still a viable option?

hasnt resigned with the blazers. they just picked up dorrel wright

anyways i dont see us using amnesty. best case scenario would be to trade miller or joels cntracts next season or hopefully both. we can send upwards to 3 million to teams willing to take on those contracts but the thing is we dont want anyone in return. try and snag some 2nd rounders

whats the word on birman too?

He's an empty stat rebounder.

He gets a lot of rebounds, but his team actually rebounds better when he's not in the game.

Plus his defense is trash.

His athleticism is one of the main reasons he will get a contract

The lakers rebounded better with Dwight off the floor...I guess he's either an empty stat rebounder too or maybe comparing 30 minutes to 18 minutes with equal weight doesn't provide reliable data

Plus Kaman is a bad fit and over the hill.

With Dwight gone the Center market should pick up this week.

Oden + Dalembert = **** Awesome

Just Dalembert = ok, i won't be too upset.

Just Oden = Risky as hell, exciting yet scary.

No new Centers = not good at all. won't feel confident about our playoffs chances.

Obviously we need to secure the Bird first.
