Elbow injuries aren't a freak injury in basketball. Plenty of guys have them. My theory is that his injury history is getting progressively worse. Guys don't go from missing 100 games in 2 seasons to suddenly perfectly healthy.

Anyway, you call me bias, but I've watched the Raptors this year probably more than you. I can't stand the way he plays. If you like a 7fter who has no idea how to protect the rim, rebound, and fit into an offensive system then I guess Bargnani's your guy. However, for me, I like 7fters that can actually rebound and defend in a team system.

On your previous point on the whole "team defensive scheme being bad", the Raptors head coach was the Mavs assistant coach who was responsible for their defense that year when they won the championship.

Then Tyson has no idea how to protect the since he has only .3bga career ave better than Barg. You hate Barg and want to find every little nuance to turn into a huge dramatic extreme. So I'm done with drama queens who don't have enough of an open mind to at least not exaggerate and twist everything when it so obvious to everyone that's what those dqs are doing. Enjoy your opinion, may it keep you warm at night.

Oh yea... I know, I'm thinking Barg will be the best evar!!!!!! and I'm so wrong!!!! How could I not see this?!?!?!?!?!?! LOL! Read my words and understand... stop twisting in the wind every little thing but I can't go in circles with someone who has made up their mind before we see them all play this year that it won't work and it will fail.

 I'm the one putting words in your mouth? Your first sentence has nothing to do with what I'm saying. Blocks don't mean anything when it comes to defense.

I hate Bargs playstyle, no need to escalate it to make it seem like I'm stating dramatic extremes. It's a fact he's one of the worst rebounding 7fters in the league, and it's a fact he's an awful help defender. He's also been very inefficient shooting. I'm not stating anything extreme, and it's not crazy to assume a 7fter with injury problems isn't going to suddenly become healthy.

The rest of your post isn't worth responding to because it's a load of crap. I'm not twisting anything you're saying. I'm just trying to show people that this Bargs deal is horrible, and that Bargs is not a player you want to be counting on. If you think what I'm saying about Bargs is crazy, I'd love to see your take on what Raptors fans think of him.

You said 'no idea how to protect the rim'... I didn't put words into your mouth but I sure wish I could put some sense in your head, cause it's absent while the lips move. Blocks don't mean defense? That's an overused internet adage that is bullisht nonsense because it sure is defense, anyone who has ever played the game of basketball knows it. But according to you 'elite defender' is Tyson who blocks 1 block every 3 games more than 'no idea how to protect the rim' Barg. So yes, you're opinions are crazy, wackadoodle crazy.

Nobody is trading 3 first round picks and 2 seconds to move up in a draft that was considered weak.

We need to get over the fact we gave up a potential mid to late first for bargs. MOVE ON.

This will be a fun thread to look back on though, I'll give you that.

Instead, I see them give away 3 picks for a player who is the exact opposite of this, and a player WHO THE RAPTORS WERE PRACTICALLY GIVING AWAY.

I'm sorry but, HE WAS ABOUT TO BE AMNESTIED, YET THE KNICKS TRADED 3 PICKS FOR HIM. Yeah I used caps, but i feel like people aren't realizing how unnecessary the picks were in this deal.

If you going to hold a position at least BE ACCURATE!

Was the deal Bargs for 3 picks???

Context.... One of those second rounders is OKCs.... so it's a guaranteed contract for the 57-60th pick in the draft. The other is likely to be 50-55th pick in the draft... again a guaranteed contract for a guy not much better than an undrafted FA.... but yea 3 picks.

Someday someone is going to have to explain to me why some people think writing "I have no doubt in my mind" or "I guarantee" makes a two-bit guess somehow more than a two-bit guess.

They are only different by contract guarantees, other than that there really is no difference.

So there's no difference between picks.... so the 57th pick in the draft is the same as a lottery pick? Just

The difference between Yi and Marc Gasol.

Unless you really wanna debate a player better than a lotto pick can never be found later on.

There are hordes of examples.

Guys c'mon... Bargs trade is only a week old. This is a perfectly appropriate time to complain.

Well what about Bargs? What if he needed this change of scenery to reach his max potential?

I know right, Bargs has played a total of ZERO minutes in a KNicks uniform, clearly he should be bashed before even given a chance!

The exception doesn't make the rule. You're arguing against math. You're employing the same logic the schmucks who spend their hard earned money on lottery tickets every week do.

That a late round pick, or a second rounder CAN turn into a good player is not in dispute. But it is a long-shot. There is little disputing this math.

****...there's still people who don't wanna part with Iman Shumpert for Rajon Rondo.

Forget about championship additions.. as of now we've taken a step back. Losing Kenyon and Cope for Bargs is a downgrade.

You gotta catch up, the 2nd round cant produce players as good as lotto picks.

The entire draft is a long shot.,,,it's all about how well you scout and the development of their player.

Finding a 2nd rounder that is rotational is not as uncommon as you think.

This thinking is exactly why the Knicks trade their picks for established players then get beat in the playoffs by players they probably could have drafted.

Im Coming Home wrote:Can we just support Bargs? This is a low risk/high reward deal, I don't know why you're complaining about losing Novak and Camby and a pick that was going to be a late 1st rounder which we already gave another team the power to switch with us if it was worth a damn anyways.

Bargnani has the potential to make this team an unbelievable offensive force, and we have Tyson who hopefully plays like DPOY Tyson, to cover Bargs butt.

He's a Knick now, get over it and support Bargs and hope he will be good for this team because I know I'm hoping he finally reaches his potential.
