I don't have that kind of faith in Knight, but he'd sure make a nice tank commander.

It's a win-win either way.

I'd do it for just Singler if that was possible. I don't need any return for Jennings. Whatever positive value we'd get would be a bonus. I wish him well elsewhere.

I'd take Knight over nothing or extending Jennings. He's at least young and has a small chance of making a jump.

Gery is due to get one right. Even if he makes them all up.

I would be happy with Knight. The kid is only 21 so there is definitely upside there, and a much higher ceiling than Jennings. The 2 major things I like about him over Jennings is size(6"3) & athleticism. He would be a nice option next to Ridnour in short spurts as well.

I still think Jennings inks a long term deal with the Bucks.

The money ain't out there. Once Jennings calms down and listens to his agent.

So remaining FA guards out there: DJ Augustin, Barbosa, Booby Gibson, Devin Harris, Neal, Nate Robinson, Udrih and Mo Williams. One of them will be our if we trade Jennings and don't get PG in return.

I don't see a trade happening. With that said I would gladly take Knight over Jennings. How are you guys so down on Knight? He actually plays defense and if it weren't for a poor coaching staff the last few years switching him back and forth between PG and SG, he might be a lot better. Someone needs to tutor him and mold him into a PG and not just shuffle him around. I think Larry Drew can mold him into a better all around PG than Jennings will ever be.

BR sucks, but this article is spot on

"Point guards are supposed to be leaders on the court and in the locker room. Teams aren't going to invest in a floor general who can't manage himself, let alone his troops."

There is no evidence to suggest that Jennings has changed.

Starting waves in his own locker room, discussing his future plans while he's still under contract with the Bucks, making demands he is in no position to make—the list goes on. And it doesn't stop.

That's not just part of the problem; it's all of it.

We can chalk the absence of a contract up to suitors' fears of the Bucks matching, but we'd be wrong. This situation isn't on Milwaukee (entirely). It's on player who has yet to find, and subsequently embrace, direction.

Until Jennings proves that he is deserving of the respect and compensation he claims he is, he will forever be in a holding pattern.

After deciding not to attend college and missing David Stern announce his name on account of tardiness, the point guard still hasn't grown up. He seems to be the same inefficient and misguided young player he was back then.

Four years later, we're still waiting for Brandon Jennings to show up.

Good post, good read. People act like IQ is the be all of everything but I feel common sense is just as important. Jennings lacks in both. Jennings was to stupid to even go to college. That is not someone you invest allot of money in. Very dumb investment.

Jennings for Knight would be a spectacular move. Bone sells it to the public (and hell, probably Kohl) as a young PG to build with, a kid two years removed from being the 8th overall pick.

Send him out there to play 36 minutes a night, and we're losing more because of it.

I want to remind everyone in the media who reads this board when it comes to Gery (or agents) spouting that Jennings is miffed because he was the Bucks "3rd choice" after Monta and Teague.

Jennings TURNED DOWN 4 years/$40M before the Monta extension or Teague offer sheet.

He was the Bucks first choice.

4 YEARS
$40 MILLION

Brandon Jennings TURNED DOWN

Who's the fool now?

And he's not coming back after one season if he takes the QO.

Right now our options are S&T or long term deal. He should not be brought back on QO.

http://nba.si.com/2013/03/09/brandon-je ... ee-agency/

“If I take the qualifying offer and become an [unrestricted] free agent there is no way I am coming back,” Jennings told Yahoo! Sports on Friday after practice. “There is no way.”

He turned down a four-year, $40 million deal prior to this season, a source told Yahoo! Sports. A one-year qualifying offer would be worth about $4.5 million for Jennings.

“It’s not unfair to make that statement if he feels there is not a deal fair to him this summer,” Bucks general manager John Hammond said of Jennings’ stance. “I would be surprised if it happens. But he is operating within the [collective bargaining] rules. I’m not taken aback. It’s a natural discussion to have.”

Bringing him back on the QO is far better than extending him.

Not sure on the accuracy of this, but....

Apparently Jennings was renting a condo on the river here downtown.

According to my friend Jennings left a condo full of stuff from furniture to clothing and never came back to town to clear it out.

If this is true, he really wanted out of town badly and perhaps thought he was getting paid big time and didn't care about the financial aspect.

It's going to create a toxic locker room again with a point guard who is only interested in getting his own stats and not looking to develop players like Henson & Sanders.

We either need to decide we're going to move forward with him or cut bait.

Bringing him back on the QO would be like when Skiles came back with 1 year left on his contract.

That info must be a year old.

Jennings has been living in the Moderne on 3rd St. since Nov 2012
