I get Jennings is holding out, but even if they accepted that deal they'd be in the same situation next year with Lowry that they are trying to avoid...unless they think Lowry is an elite point guard they want to lock up long term.

I agree that they likely won't want to take on Fields... this would've been a good time to attach Kleiza, but he's been amnestied. They'd probably want a smaller contract or more incentive... it's possible, but I don't know what'll work.

Toronto Out: Gay
Washington Out: Ariza, Vesely, Booker, and 2014 1st Rd pick

Why for WAS: Washington makes a serious playoff push to show Wall that they are serious about winning. Gay has only a year remaining after this upcoming season, giving you alot of money to either re-sign him to a lesser deal, trade him during next summer while he would be an attractive expiring at that point, or go after someone else during that FA summer when he comes off the books.

Why for TOR: Gives Toronto financial flexibility, opportunity to tank for this year, and get a 1st Rd pick to look forward to.

Well to me it seems Jennings & the bucks have burned all their bridges. If he comes back he's not going to be happy & likely will just take the QO and become a UFA next year. They want the 8th seed and Lowry keeps them competitive. They have given up assets before for a soon to be FA (ala Reddick)

From Torontos stand point, they either take Fields or no deal. Grays expiring would add 2.69 to the deal but if Jennings wants 10 (hypothetical) that puts us into tax. Fields has to be in the deal for it to work for us.

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

This is a perfect trade. WAshington should be our primary target. Gay is from baltimore, Washington has shown interest in him before. They are going for the playoffs this year, he helps them with that. this helps us tank. good for both parties.

I could see Masai do this trade if the Wizards would offer. However, the team has limited roster spots and a 3 for 1 player trade means we need to start waiving players or trading others off. Maybe Gray or Hansborough needs to got the other way to balance things out.

This would be a great trade, but Washington doesn't really have to show Wall they're serious about anything. They just signed him to that ridiculous contract...

I actually would really like this. He can provide some competition in practise, and if he improves, he can make his way into the rotation. He's still young... he should be able to improve. I really liked him coming out of Kansas.

RapsObsessed--

Yeah, fair enough, I guess it depends on how desperate Milwaukee gets. Whether he hates it there or not, it might not be worth 3 years of Fields just to have Lowry. If I'm Milwaukee, I simply sign him to the Q.O. and get it over with. I mean, Brandon has never seemed particularly thrilled to be there...so I don't think this is as big a deal to Milawukee as it is to Brandon.

They are simply going to have to let him walk or trade him at the deadline for a late pick (which in my opinion, is a better option than taking on Lowry and Fields).

Hey, it works from our end, although that trade would basically lock up our backcourt, and I'd be surprised if MU wanted to destroy his flexibility like that. The value for each GM is in their perceptions of Jennings and Lowry.

Jennings
Demar
Gay
Amir
Jonas

is interesting...but I worry about the perimeter shooting and the chuckery. It'd be great in transition, though,

Im not sure why people want Jennings on this team. A month into the season he'd be the most hated raptor on the team.

I like the OKC trade idea, but i cant see OKC making that trade. But they really need to do something to appease KD fast, so you never know.

As for Rudy Gay, i think we could get more....and i agree on the Lowry part. He's a FA next year and we cant afford to take any risks. Trade him now.

I strongly support this trade idea. Ariza starts over Fields, so we don't have to watch his horrible play and we get a mid first round pick. Masai has shown the ability to find great value later in the first round, so between that pick and our own which would be somewhere in the top ten in a strong draft, we'd be sitting pretty.

Yes....He has better upsides...explosive...Henry,Ross will provide solid backup for Gay and Demar..

I think Hasheem Thabeet is a decent addition too..he is 7-3, 260lbs, moves really well...good shot blocking ability
I feel that if he is given some playing time..he could be Larry sanders #2..

I am open to Harrington, but don't know who we'd trade for him.
Honestly, I would like to give Fields 1 more year before I totally give up on him.

I'm intrigued by the OKC deal someone mentioned but they would probably want a big in return and what would we do with Perk? He'd prob demand a buyout.

I think Big Baby Davis would be a great "target" to play beside JV. Fields + Future 2nd for Davis

Lowry - Augustine - Buycks
DD - Ross - Buycks
Gay - Novak - Acy
Davis - Hansbrough - Acy
JV - Johnson - Gray

Lowry for Brandon Knight? Seems possible since the Bucks want to make the playoffs. Knight fits the "Masai mold" of player - young, rookie contract, potential, and three point shooting... he's also very intelligent.
