Yea like playing seven years for a franchise that gave him Mo Williams as the 2nd best player and Mike Brown as coach wasn't enough.
I can already see the defense coming when Lebron joins the Monstars...
How can you guys blame Lebron for joining the Monstars? The best players the Looney Toons could get were Bugs Bunny and Daffy freakin Duck. They should just be happy Lebron played for them at all...
So much butthurt.

Benevolent Brad wrote:Dudes... Space Jam came out in a perfect time. There were actually movies being made like that. Now we have ADD hollywood CGI crap being thrown left and right. I mean, the original was just more interesting with Michael Jordan than this would be with Lebron. And Bill Murray?
****, I have to watch that movie now.
To be fair, the issue with movies now is that they are 90% corporate franchise celebrations with mindless cartoon visuals and no artistic merit.
That's kind of the definition of Space Jam, but I still love it

Howard isn't going to be able to do his own stunts if he actually has to do post moves like the Dream Shake and Skyhook
They could show a backstory/flashback on how Dwight accidentally touched the original ball when he was a kid (his dad took him to a game maybe?) thus losing his ability to do post moves.

They should make it and then let Jordan play the Bill Murray role this time as the old guy with bad knees that comes to save the day. People would want to see it just to watch MJ and LeBron team up.

Dagameplaya PnG wrote:My plot would be that Nerdlucks shows up with a new bunch of aliens who learned the game on their own. (Like a play on how the foreign players have come up over the years)
Then Nerdlucks says he has a secret weapon that'll put them over the top that way find out later.
So the toons go to Michael Jordan again but finds out he's to old so then they go for Lebron and Lebron says he'll decide later.
Fast Forward to the Decision in Loony toon land where the Toons and Monstars team all gather and at the last second Nerdlucks uses his secret weapon of Mind control to get Lebron to choose them. (Movie twist)
Toons are losing big after the first quarter and Jordan shows up realizing anything can happen in Looney toon land and helps bring them back a bit before blowing out his knee. Ohh no what are we going to do? Oh look Lebron's spell conveniently wears off in time for him to switch sides some way and the toons come back and win with Jordan coaching on the side lines.
Kevin Hart plays the comedian role and we see special appearances from Charles Barkley, Dwight, Stephan A, some of the Heat players, some of the Bobcat players, Dwight, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Kyrie Ivring.
Sounds good

If you replace:
Looney Tunes for Cleveland Cavaliers
Monstars with Miami Heat
Children exit threather - RealGM posters never stop
You got yourself a nice metaphore. Well done!

thank you for making that clear for all of us, the 88+ people who have And 1 the post did not see that correlation, and just And 1'd it for the sake of pressing the button. I reward you 9000 points, and may god have mercy on your soul.

Movie stars should be role models. Can anyone else play LeBron?

gino_giode wrote:Dunno if it could work. The beauty of the first movie was that it had other all-stars take a back seat in the plot in order to give Jordan the limelight.
I couldn't see Kobe/Durant/Rose/Dwight pretending to all of a sudden suck having lost all their skills to little aliens. Only way an SJ2 could work is if other guys had a bigger role, but then it becomes less about the toon squad.
I'd be down for a reboot of Like Mike though since the first one showcased a lot of stars.
No, this could definitely work. Then at the end of the movie when LeBron meets up to return their basketball skills via the shiny ball, they start dancing. Meanwhile Rose watches stoically from a distance. LeBron then asks Rose why he isn't dancing. Rose tearfully says, "I...I don't know how to dance." LeBron replies, "I'll teach you."
End scene of LeBron teaching Rose how to Waltz.

Post of the year!
The tunes just aren't as much help as the Monstars. Stack the team and get Ws.

There was one post in a thread about Royce White being traded to Sixers and some poster replied "That's a very long bus drive" ( don't remember the full quote it was much funnier, but something along these lines) and it got a huge amount of And 1's too.
