I was just coming here to say that. Someone needs to leave one on Gokhan or Bruno Alves and make it clear that they can't kick lumps out Wilshere like that. It's not the Arsenal way, and not something I'd normally advocate, but if Fenerbahce are going to target Wilshere, someone has to send a message to back off.

frustrating man , his teammates are just watching it unfold , no one doing a thing. No idea how bruno alves didn't get carded on that shoulder block too

he's fine , maybe some bruises and bumps but fenerbahce was just taking shots at him for a 10 minute stretch , just fouling every chance they got

Nah, Keller just needs to go and they need to sell Uchida to arsenal ASAP. That and jones needs to just be replaced by Goretzka for good.

Höger is just as bad as Uchida.

Schalke looked very gassed at the end. Maybe they have conditional problems?

Yeah but Kolasinac or Howedes are not. Play either one at RB and they'd have been carved open a lot less. Then bench jones and hoger for Goretzka and Neustadter and all of a sudden Schalke would have competent personnel out there for their coach to use incompetently.

They have no direction on the pitch so they spend much of the game running around aimlessly trying to hold onto the match which exhausts them, add a red card and Keller taking off the fresh legs of Meyer instead of the visibly winded Farfan and Schalke running out of steam was an obvious result. Fortunately Draxler and Szalai saved their asses.

Neustädter has proven on countless occassions last season he is always capable of making a game deciding error, too. Goretzka is young so his performances will be very inconsistent.

Either way they need another full back, a winger and at least a single capable defensive midfielder. Goretzka will be amazing but he is not there yet. Hopefully, with the extra 20 mil. they'll address at least one of those needs.

Neustadter target was also excellent in the first half of season until hunter got hurt, Holtby left and huub got fired. When he can just simply sit in front of the d and make simple passes Neustadter is very effective, playing in the **** Schalke have going right now next to Jermaine "watch me do something stupid" Jones is not a position where roman can be effective.

Goretzka's certainly still inconsistent, but he and Neustadter is the best combo Schalke have.

If they could sign Diekmeier to go with Stoker/Lestienne, I think they could be ok using Neustadter and Kolasinac/Matip next to Goretzka/jones.
