Knicks Waive Brownlee, Sign CDR

Post#1 » by shmeakone » Wed Oct 2, 2013 4:20 pm

Per Twitter

Interesting move.

Either Brownlee just cant play, or theres something wrong with our SGs health (Hardaway & JR) so we signed some insurance. Or of course, I'm over thinking it.

One thing I know: CDR is a baller, he can score the ball.

Hardaway is a rookie, and JR will miss 5 games when he's eligible to play

thats a poor move, to cut a training camp invitee right when TC starts..he couldve gone for other oppportunities

CDR can score of the bench, but he is a selfish player

He got paid for the whole thing, so it is what it is.

This is a business.

Brownlee wasn't gonna make the cut anyway, might as well put some experience in the camp.

Lol @ OP trying to read into why Brownlee was cut.

Here's an article from Summer League with LA:

http://articles.latimes.com/2013/jul/17 ... s-20130718

"At this point, I don't have any ego anymore," he said Wednesday night after a practice with the Lakers' summer league team. "I have to pay these dues, wherever they are. If they're in summer league, whatever, I have to pay these dues."

If things work out, Douglas-Roberts will earn an invitation to fall training camp with the Lakers or another team, where he would have to prove himself anew. If not, who knows? The 6-foot-7 swingman concedes he doesn't have a Plan B because he doesn't want it to detract from his focus on Plan A.

CDR is no bum. I'm surprised he's not on some teams rotation.

Could take Leslie's spot.

I always liked CDR, I think this is a good move. Low risk, (potentially) high reward.
