The Timbers-Sounders game on Sunday is going to be epic now, with the Cascadia Cup on the line. The biggest rivalry in MLS, playing in the most hostile venue in MLS, with the Cascadia Cup on the line. This is as good as it gets in American soccer.

So true.

Though when TFC gets better I think the Toronto/Montreal rivalry will take over. (Maybe)

The guys out west need to start playing on grass.

It's possible, but the Portland-Seattle rivalry extends back to the NASL and is sort of an extension of the Oregon vs. Washington border rivalry. But if the Raptors forum is any indication, Canadians are passionate about their sports teams.

As for grass, it rains too much out here for grass to be a viable option. Most of the fields in Oregon and Washington have switched over to turf now, even at the high school levels.

If they can have grass fields in England, they can do it in both Portland and Seattle. They just need to pump some money into their stadiums. Though for Seattle, sharing the stadium will be a bigger issue.

And I'm not talking down on the rivalry, right now it's the biggest by far in MLS. I just think Toronto/Montreal has 100 years of hatred behind it, and will eventually take over.

The Timbers-Sounders game is on ESPN for everyone in the US. I encourage everyone to watch this game.

Crazy to see that every team still has about 2-3 games left in the season and only two have qualified for the playoffs.

While NYRB maybe have the supporters shield lead, I still have faith that RSL can take it.

Hoping for a Montreal win tonight so Toronto can crush them next weekend. (Yeah, I live in a dream world)

Sporting KC's win over DC United puts them one point ahead in the Supporter's Shield race with just one game remaining, it's still NY Redbulls to lose though.

Tomorrow nights Portland Timbers vs Real Salt Lake game is huge, loser drops out of the race. A tie will pretty much kill them both off. All the meeting between PTFC and RSL this year have been epic and highly recommend people watch this one.

The Seattle Sounders, what a meltdown, they can actually still miss the playoffs. Dempsey has been a let down.

With that Seattle loss, Portland became the third team to secure its place in the 2013 playoffs! 7 spots remain.

Timbers-Salt Lake tie means RSL clinches the fourth playoff slot. Hurts RSL's shield chances more than the Timbers and it helps SKC and NY a lot.

Also, is there any doubt Rimando was Major League Soccer's best goal keeper this year? did anyone have a better year than him? Such a beast.

Red Bulls win 3-0, Cahill scores a goal seven seconds into the match making that the fastest goal in MLS history.

New York now a win away from clinching their first ever MLS trophy.

MLS and Seattle fans, did you guys see Freddy Montero play? I've always heard he was nothing more than an average or above average player and now he is tearing up in Portugal at the age of 26. He has something insane like 13 goals on the season already.

Is it possible that he is this good or is he just riding a good wave?

Donovan Ricketts gets my vote. 1.03 GAA, 88 saves 12 clean sheets, and 10 save of the week awards...playing behind the shaky trio Pa Mo Du Kah, Futty Danso, and Andrew Jean Baptiste as his center backs all year, after the injuries to Silvestre and Horst.

Yeah all that really does stack high vs Rimando. I guess i really shouldn't count something that is not MLS related, but Rimando's Gold cup run is also a great addition to what was an already great season, one of his best, in my opinion. I really hope RSL vs Portland happens again in the Conference finals.

MLS is coming to Orlando.

The County Commission just approved the stadium funding.
