I would imagine, now it is just me...that one ought to be able accrue more efficient stats playing next to Dwight then one could playing next to Okafor, even when is in Okachamberlin mode.

I think pau a post up guy...considering how nene a seraphin gets look I say were a post up team...
No we dont run phil offense but we do a lot of pick and rolls and post up...almost every play with nene or seraphin in, they get a pass in the post...now jus think if tht was pau instead of Seraphin on tht low block...or on tht high block (he hit tht shot with ease) where nene has trouble hitting...thts easy points and open up lanes and shots for our other players not to mention pau an incredible passer for a big man

So yes I do...

Pau us like Nene, in that they can do both. I think Pau is a better shooter but Nene is quite potent in the post...

You didn't really explain how Pau would be better next to Okafor then nene is. Your original stance as I understand it was that Pau had trouble playing next to "cry baby dwight." Dwight, in every sense of the word, is better then Okafor (maybe not FT % but thats it). So HOW the hell is Pau suppose to play better here if he was next to Okafor. Cause the difference between Nene/Pau IMO is not worth trading anything of significance (like a 1st rounder).

This trade was posted on the trade board.

Gasol, Nash & Kelly for Okafor, Ariza & Booker.

I'm generally against any trades that artificially inflate our win total this year but this deal does make our starting lineup look rather strong.

Also forgot to account for the additional weight of Pau's awful facial hair. Sign him up for Dollar Shave Club, and he'll be even better this season.

1st
Nene is no where near the post player pau is...
Pau can hit the shot nene pass on consistently
And he'll play better next to Okafor BECAUSE WE RUN A DIFFERENT OFFENSIVE SCHEME
IF LAKERS WOULDVE RAN THE TRIANGLE OFFENSE WE WOULDNT BE HAVING THIS CONVERSSTION BECAUSE THEY WOULDVE PROBABLY HAD ANOTHER TITLE (barring kobe injury)
PAU GAME DOESNT FIT INTO DANTONI OFFENSE, THATS WHY THEY WAS WANTING TO TRADE HIM FOR A REAL STRETCH 4
HERE WITH US NEXT TO OKAFOR IN OUR SLOWER OFFENSE HE CAN GET ACTUALLY POST UP ATTEMPS
No okafor is no where near dwight but he would give pau space to let him operate instead of being ball thirsty like dwight...

ONCE AGAIN BASKETBALL ISNT AS SIMPLE AS PUTTING A PLAYER ON A NEW TEAM AND HE'LL PUT UP THE SAME #S AS HE DID ON THE OLD ONE

Its variables such as players, offensive/defensive style...

So once again yes he'll be better with okafor because we he fits our team playstyle better than he did over on the lakers in dantoni system with dwight. ..any more questions?

Don't forget about the all-important variable of sock thickness. Last season, the Lakers outsourced their sock production to a factory in the Philippines. This year Gasol got Kupchak to make an exception and let him wear socks that are handmade by his mother's friend's maid's great aunt Calcetin.

I'm SHOCKED you're overlooking this critical detail deneem. :nonono:

butchered english + nonsensical ramblings = filter. I'm up to 3 now.

WizD is exempt from the above equation due to copious unintended comedy.

I'm sure there might be some statistical evidence that may refute this one way or the other, but I'm going to call BS for now.

And he'll play better next to Okafor BECAUSE WE RUN A DIFFERENT OFFENSIVE SCHEME

SO WE TALK LIKE THIS NOW? OK GOTCHA. SO IF DWIGHT WAS HERE WITH PAU, IN THE SAME SYSTEM, INSTEAD OF OKAFOR YOU THINK HE WOULD STILL HAVE PROBLEM? AND LOL AT THEM WINNING A TRIANGLE IN ANY SYSTEM. KOBE WASN'T GOING TO BEAT THE SPURS OR THE HEAT. MAN IT IS FUN TO TYPE IN CAPS.

HERE WITH US NEXT TO OKAFOR IN OUR SLOWER OFFENSE HE CAN GET ACTUALLY POST UP ATTEMPS
No okafor is no where near dwight but he would give pau space to let him operate instead of being ball thirsty like dwight...

I MAY BE REACHING HERE, BUT I DON'T THINK PAU WOULD HAVE ACTUALLY HAD BETTER LOOKS IN A SLOW SYSTEM HERE WITH DWIGHT PLAYING NEXT TO HIM THEN OKAFOR.

ONCE AGAIN BASKETBALL ISNT AS SIMPLE AS PUTTING A PLAYER ON A NEW TEAM AND HE'LL PUT UP THE SAME #S AS HE DID ON THE OLD ONE

REALLY? I AM STUN. FOR THE RECORD, I AM OK WITH BRING PAU OVER, BUT WOULD LIKE HIM TO PLAY NEXT TO NENE AS THEY'RE BOTH SUPREMELY SKILLED. I JUST TAKE ISSUE WITH THE CLAIM THAT DWIGHT WAS PAU'S PROBLEM LAST SEASON.

I
ts variables such as players, offensive/defensive style...

I THINK NASH+KOBE LAST SEASON WAS BETTER THEN WALL+BEAL BUT THAT MAY CHANGE THIS SEASON. STYLISTICALLY, I CAN'T REALLY EVEN GRASP WTF RANDY DRAWS UP AT TIMES. I'M NOT SURE THIS IS THE BEST OFFENSE FOR JOHN, BUT IT IS WHAT WE GOT.

So once again yes he'll be better with okafor because we he fits our team playstyle better than he did over on the lakers in dantoni system with dwight. ..any more questions?

Nah pau and okafor better...
U got offense and defense...

Pau better for the simple fact hes a potential HOF
Nene has been in an all star game

Yes if phil was coaching they wouldve easily beat the spurs...heat wouldve been tough but dwight and gasol wouldve been too much...look how hibbert and west had them pinned...and paul/dwight/kobe a wayyy better combination
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!

Taking notes on this...

offense AND defense

Okay, got it.

Pau better for the simple fact hes a potential HOF
Nene has been in an all star game

Maybe the Wizards should just skip the "potential" and go straight for someone who's already reached the promised land -- Wes Unseld. Or Bill Russell. Take your pick. Both are actual Hall of Famers so they must be better than Pau who only has the potential to make the Hall.[/quote]

Well, yeah. Where do you think Pau got those beans?

Yeah, it's one of those trades where you think - Oh, my gorsh no no no no no. Why do we want to pick up a bunch of over the hill over-paid vets and lose next year's cap room? But then again, we're not giving up anything that we weren't likely going to keep long-term, and if EVERYTHING went well with injuries, we could win a playoff series and then, who knows?

I tend to take your statistical arguments more seriously as they depict "reality" (however depressing they tend to be  ) and generally are spot on... thus...all bow down to Emperor Nivek.
