Ms. Larry Drew saw the skill level of Kendall Marshall a mile away, especially since he has fat genes inherited from his parents. We should probably get her on the payroll to help with next year's draft.

Yes, they can still match, but building around a disgruntled star isn't generally a good idea.I also think it is obvious that Wall would have gotten multiple max offers. Since I think he was an obvious max contract guy as a FA, I can understand why they decided to take care of him when they had the chance this past summer before he got big eyes from being wined and dined by extremely high profile teams like the Lakers.Wall had a gigantic impact last year after he came back from his injury. The Wizards had the worst record in the league at 5-28 before Wall returned from injury. They were on pace for 12 wins at that point. 33 games is not a tiny sample. They were historically awful. The fewest amount of wins in an NBA season is 15. After Wall returned, they went 24-25. - See more at: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1276970&start=300#sthash.HD5El65u.dpuf.

So I dug this up from the last ATL...

WAY too much is being made of his half season. Do you pay a guy 40 mill for a half season that doesn't even get you playoff level team? Because that is what everyone seems to be saying. His career WS is <10.

Beyond that, you miss the point. What the max anyone else can sign him for? 4/58? So the Wiz can give him 5/90 and you think he is going to be upset that he isn't somewhere else making 4/58? This also precludes them from giving Beal a 5th year if he keeps making strides.

Its no secret that players play better in contract years. It just surprises me that teams aren't allowing even RFAs the chance to show their skills in a contract year when they have zero risk of losing a player. when you have all the leverage and you give it away to keep a player happy when you are already making them happy by paying them significantly more. I am almost always on the players side but it seems a peculiar direction considering the leverage. Its particularly surprising with players who haven't had the opportunities to shine (Favors).

Bogut.

I didn't so much mind that he was traded. What griped me was that we did what we routinely do with players the front office decides are not part of The Solution.

We devalued him. Maybe they do that so the fans won't complain. Maybe they do it because they are incapable of making gray area decisions, so they pile blame on the guy to boost their dubious confidence that the trade is warranted.

Then they move the player for salvage or clearance prices. After seeing the health issues and the man play for them, Bogut is worth 40+M to GSW. Ellis and Udoh aren't worth diddly to us.

You think the pattern would have to stop. But it doesn't have to. In a revision of the retail sign: If you own it you can break it.

Get ready for Ersan to be dealt in two years for a second round pick.

As for Royce White, he did himself no favors in preseason. His best skillset coming out of school was supposed to be his passing and he avg 6.44TOs/36min and an asst:to of .35. Yes, 0.35. Its simply unacceptable. And before anyone says Giannis' TOs were too high, he is 18; Royce is 22 and is supposed to be far more polished.

With Steven Adams playing well, I'd consider using him with Perkins in a trade for Al Horford if I'm OKC.

ETA - I see they will waive Brown too, probably for the best

Bogut extension, there's no question he's worth the money if he can stay healthy, story of his career.

I was gonna comment but upon seeing your avatar I need to go get a quick fap.

Biyombo looking good in the pre-season.....

Monta shooting horribly. He still have it all. Dallas fans will hate him by December first

I wish we had Anthony Davis.....per the earlier discussion, I think he's the break out guy this season.

There aren't five guys in the entire league I'd rather have than Davis.

Seems like a fair deal for both GS & Andrew.

Really not that surprising coming from one of Jennings' biggest supporters.

Golden State were fairly snookered on Bogut without cap room to find another C.

Eh, I wouldn't go that far...

Derrick Rose
Lebron James
Carmelo Anthony
Chris Paul
Kyrie Irving
Kevin Durant
James Harden
Stephen Curry

I do however think Davis will be a superstar in the next 2-3 years. He looks great!

Not sure I'd say he's top 5, definitely top 7.

I'd take him over Paul and Melo. Same tier as Rose, Curry, Irving.

They were.

Makes sense for both sides imo. He's worth it if he's healthy, hopefully he is.

Now that I think about it, James and Durant are the only two I'd take over Davis. He's going to be the NBA's next franchise big, a special two-way player with the size and physical ability to dominate.
