Six steals, but that was his seventh game. He was a veteran at that point.

Wall had 9 steals in his 3rd game I believe.

Curry behind arc too. Great game. CP3 beat some old record from 70's.

I won't say I told you so, yet, but it's probably going to get old before too long. You guys need to know I'm just mad at the Wizards because they take great ideas and free help and before the flush it, they wipe with the idea. It sucks the way the owner/management failed to seize the day on draft night. They do so consistently. They also seriously screwed up waiving the Gs that came with Gortat in the deal.

He's going to be a good third guard, and the Wiz NEED a good third guard - much more than they need a chucker like Rice.

I still would have picked Withey, but Wolters would have been fine. Jeff Hornacek Pt 2. Even if they are both white.

Rice can play a little bit. He's not even the problem, IMO.

It was STUPID to add Maynor with they drafted a better player, Wolters, but traded him away.
The Wizards shoukd have drafted Derik Queen

I told you so :banghead:

NEWS FLASH: All the Wizards have to do was draft Wolters and Olynyk. Not trade for Rice. Not trade an injured Okafor. Not send the draft pick for Gortat, (but I love Gortat's game). Regardless of how the season plays out, they had some better alternatives.

--Cartier Martin could provide what Rice Jr. does, from the bench. Martin's a guy easily waived, but they're invested in Rice Jr. Two draft picks (Wolters and Kazemi went for Rice to be a Wizard).

--If they had kept Wolters, instead of using the BAE on Maynor, they could have signed DeJuan Blair with the BAE. With Okafor down, there wouldn't have been a Gortat trade involving giving up next season's first. This would have been much better asset management. No risk of losing Gortat and the pick with Blair on the roster.

Olynyk, Blair,Wolters with no Maynor, no Porter, no Rice Jr. would have been a cheap alternative to the BAE, lost draft pick, and the risk of losing Gortat as a UFA. They didn't have to add Rice, as if he were a transcending talent. They brain farted trading Wolters. I'm sure somebody knew how long I'd suggested Wolters, and I know they've messed up. I'm positive of it after ONE GAME.

It's hard to root for the Wizards when you know they could be much better.

They effectively traded Wolters' rights for Rice; not Maynor, so that is the problem.

By far the best CP3 has played in LA so far. Incredible game.

I still don't believe in that team in the playoffs. San Antonio and Memphis will beat them as they have beaten them in 2012 and 2013 respectively. Griffin still looks like the same player as does Jordan.

Neither CHI nor NY impressed me that much last night.

DRose with a 7-23 shooting night even though he scored the winning basket...
CHI should have won the game without it coming to that.

The Knicks have THE most predictable offense in times of stress.
Iso Melo. Pfft. Best he was able to do was a long 2 pt shot to try to win. FAIL.
Melo - volume scorer. Overrated. Hurts his team with ego driven need to always
take the last shot.
CHI - is already missing Nate and Bellinelli. Highly prone to offensive droughts.
Yes CHI is still going to be good (so will the nix) and more likely than not, DRose will play better
as the season goes along but neither team now seems like any threat at all to beat
MIA. IND is the only hope for that to happen. We'll see about BKN.

that's my 2 games in opinion

Andrew Bynum (knee) is expected to play on Friday vs. the Bobcats and will likely sit on Saturday against the Pacers.

We need a Jordan Hill type. He's like a bigger, stronger, more skilled Booker

I saw it. Looked like the Lakers did a good job keeping Griffin from getting easy basket- although DeAndre got going a little bit. Xavier Henry looked really good coming off the bench. Jordan Farmar looked like a competent point guard. Pau Gasol played like he did for the Spanish national team. Also loved Blake and Reddick going at it bringing back some UMD/Duke rivalry feelings - although I don't think they played against each other in college. Young got to the free throw line a lot.

Dray had a nice game heh heh. He might be back to "the Dray of old" in more ways than one -- looked like he was wearing a down jacket under his jersey!

edit: Note that Cleveland did not play all that well, not at all. And they still won. Garnett and Peirce performed well for Brooklyn; everyone else meh at best.

I just read this after seeing the Brooklyn/Miami game. They looked like a team that could give Miami trouble in the postseason because of their size. Blatche looked ok as a backup against the Heat- maybe he is just a role player that plays better at home and that's all he has to be in Brooklyn.

Wow MCW is no fluke. He dropped 26 pts and 10 assists on the Bulls and willed them to come back victory in 2nd half. He outplayed Rose. He was best player on court in 2nd half. Never saw him until Wiz game and tonight's game. I love his game. Personally, he IMO is better PG than Wall. And we picked Otto Porter : (

Gregg Poppovich assistants are taking over the league. Brett Brown is doing a good job.

This MCW is going to be a problem for PGs to get around, that 6'6" kid is quick as hell

Evan Turner looks good, Hawes is rebounding and hitting those Js, Young is doing what he normally does... Sixers may finish ahead of the Wizards :)

Amazing.

The kid is a total stud. Didn't see that coming. I figured he would be a good player in time but this is insane.

http://www.nba.com/sixers/news/130813-brown-hired

The Philadelphia 76ers announced today that they have named Brett Brown as head coach. Brown joins the Sixers after spending the past seven seasons as an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs under Gregg Popovich.

Yeah-right. I need to correct my post from the Sixer game-thread, I said we lost to a lottery team, apparently nobody told the Sixers that they are supposed to be a lottery team. Let's see if the Sixers can maintain this MO after teams start game-planning for them. Everyone appears to be wrong about the Sixers early-on.
