Of all times for Ariza to take a 3 pointer instead of dribbling, why now?

Are we 0-3 or 0-4?

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

How are we the worst team in the league right now?

We have more talent than a lot of teams. PHI, for one.

can you blame him?

we ask him to do pretty much everything and he still gets criticism

I don't think asking him to run the offense and get his teammates good looks is asking him to do everything. He hasn't looked aggressive at all tonight.

Agreed. You need more fight from your "franchise player". Looks like Okafor really was our MVP in more ways than one.

Their only offensive play is the drive-and-dish. They don't seem to be able to execute anything else. Heck, at this point I'd settle for the useless Princeton weave that EFJ used to waste the first half of the shot clock on just to have some kind of flow.

Man, we really have to hope that Gortat and Wall can get on the same page in the screen/roll.

That, plus having Booker and Harrington not in the game helped our defense as well. Both were late on rotations all night and were caught ball watching numerous times to allow back-door cuts. I would have rather seen Vesely play tonight than either of those guys.

I thought the offense was pretty pathetic too. I know that the Heat are a good defensive team, but there was absolutely no movement of the ball on offense until the 4th quarter. Generally, it was one pass and then a player would try to go one on one, and only after having no where to go, was there another pass. Its one of the reasons why I don't like Ariza in the starting line-up. Whenever he catches the ball, if he doesn't have an open look he puts the ball on the floor. He is a ball stopper. I wish Wittman would go with worked last year and insert Martell back in the starting line-up. I think it will help Beal too.

We have no willing players that would drive and try to force contact...which is suppose to be john wall specialty but I think I saw him drive 1 time tonight

Rice jr is our other, but hes somehow in the dog house...

I want us to lose...im ready to tank...pull a raptors move and make everyone available, even beal...were not the worst team because of players...we're the worst team because of mentality, personality,
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!
Bron, Bosh, Wade is like Mike, Hakeem, barkley...3 top 5 picks from same draft
mike, hakeem and Barkley on the same team!!!!

It wasn't the 3s per say. Its was contested 3s. But even then, they shot 40 percent.
Miami took just as many and make about the same.

We out rebounded them by 9 though 3 of those were Trevor A on one play.

We got 12 more shot attempts but made 2 less shots.

But Miami got the line 27 time to 16. Thats because we didn't drive enough. And that because we didn't have enough ball handler out there not a post offensive player. Gortat needs to have a clear path like on a pick and roll. If not, he is probably better as a mid range stretch. Kevin is a better post player and he did well passing it back out.

But like Magic, Randy finally went to

Maynor and Wall, with Webster, Trevor A and Kevin

and all the sudden the offense started working. Players got open shots. They started feeding the post and driving. Inside out. And with that success, the D picked up.

Then when Beal and Gortat returned, you even saw that group driving more. It was a little sloppier because they lost a ball handler, but they tried anyway and had some success.

Wall, Beal, Webster, Trevor A, Gortat

Hopefully Randy learns something from this.

And just like I predicted, he would only learn through injury.

We didnt get better in the 4th miami jus stop playin as hard...every time we got close they turned it back up..it wasnt our better lineup it was their decreased intensity...keep the fans from leaving out too early

This team is horrible. Gortat isn't impressive defensively. Beal forgot how to fight through screens defensively. Harrington sucks. Booker really sucks on defense.

This is shaping up beautifully. I hope it continues. This is the only way EG is canned.

The pieces he is playing just don't match.

They need Beal to be Wade and he isn't. His handles just aren't good. So if you have that, then you need your SF to have handles. Ours don't. Trevor is ok, but not nearly what I'm talking about.

Only way I see this offense working is to play more Wall and Maynor or one of them and Glen. Other then that, Beal is going to have to become a much better ball handler and or Wall have to learn to use a pick.

There are line ups that can work. Randy just discovered two of them tonight.

This teams defense is going to feed off its offense. Randy has to learn that. If they struggle quarter after quarter on offense with no spacing, they are going to give up on defense. Problem is, Randy wants the defense to feed their offense.

Its a coaching problem and a roster problem. But what can get fixed the quickest is the coaching. Randy hasn't figured it out.

Thats BS.

I called it before the change happened the second they changed the line ups to something that addressed the issues I was pointing out, things got better.

Had Randy stuck with what he had been doing before, there would have been no come back. It would have just been a 25 pts blow out.

Im so disgusted I don't even know where to begin...I will say that fans need to boycott home games, I believe the next one is with Brooklyn and if the arena is more than half full ill be disappointed in our either loyal, dumb or enabling fans. Leonsis needs to rid himself of Grunfeld ASAP...

Unprepared for the season once again. We'll spend November working ourselves into shape and by the time we finally start playing like a real NBA team, we'll have dug a cavernous hole. WTF does this team do during training camp?

Randy has got to be replaced. The job is too big for him. Grunfeld should have been fired years ago. He's the one who is supposed to be in charge of building a winning culture and he can't do it. We can shuffle players endlessly, but until we get a new organizational structure and culture, it really doesn't matter who we get. We'll still have an inordinate amount of time lost to injury every season, we'll still underachieve and have good players turn into bad players for us.

I'm glad they set fan expectations up so high this year. Depressingly low expectations has been the only thing saving their jobs for so long. If they fail, we may finally see some accountability.
