32 team assists is a sick number.

Maynor is a 10 day contract player. How the f*ck is this sucker getting paid???? It's the biggest heist is the NBA

Maynor is terrible, he had his moments in the second, but other than dribbling the ball up and down the court he doesn't give this team much, I'd much prefer Price over him at this point.

Witten has got to do a better job matching bench players with his starters. Harrington and Seraphin should never be on the court together. I liked that he matched Harrington with Gortat in the second, but so far this season, his substations have largely been ineffective.

Hopefully he gets a feel for how to utilize his bench soon.

Agreed, he pulls the whole starting five leaving the backups to get torched by the other teams starting five.

Im in the minority. I actually dont care much about Maynor strictly because Im a short rotation/big minutes guy anyways, espically when you are young. I want Wall & Beal to play big minutes

And if Wall gets hurt it's tank time.

The defense is bleh. Fluke three point shooting night.

I don't think the defense is as bad as some are alluding. I saw some good things today such as fighting over and under screens, better perimeter defense, etc. We definitely have some tightening up to do, but that was to be expected with a brand new center.

It was nice to get the first win, but it still doesn't make me feel better about this team. I agree the defense still looks bad...way too many paint points for the Sixers and our guards still are allowing way too much dribble penetration. Looks like guys are gambling too much to get steals, instead of just playing solid D.

I am also worried that Wall is going to fall in love with the 3s and long jumpers. What happened to the guy that attacked the rim and got to the free throw line? He better come back soon because I have no confidence that Wall is going to replicate tonight too often.

But, for the time being a win is a win, and Wall, Gortat, Ariza and Webster played well. Hopefully, Beal can get back on track and be more consistent.

Hmm, we must have watched a different game. I thought the defense was pretty bad the first 3 quarters. It did improve in the 4th though.

Actually, to me, he simply looks more in control. Pretty stellar all around floor game from him tonight.

I don't like the Wall who doesn't get a lot of FTAs. This style of play isn't gonna be sustainable for him.

It wasn't the best game, but it wasn't the worst. I'll take it. It's the first win of the season and it should build confidence for the players that they can build upon. The three ball was falling for us, especially after passing. 32 assists is good, Wall should have easily had over 10 assists but some didn't fall, such as Beal's shots. Those missed open 3s don't bother me too much. He should convert those and usually he likely would, but I feel he's in a little slump right now and he's letting it bother him too much. He needs to just play with a short term memory where if he messes up, who cares, shake it off and continue to be aggressive and confident. We've all seen his potential and know he can easily be a 20+ppg player.

Gortat was great. He showed us tonight what type of player he can be for us. A double-double for him tonight. We'll need more of those this season to compete for the playoffs because Nene can't be reliable. Nene is either injured or he's being a big puss. Nene has been very disappointing to me since the Wizards got him. I figured he'd be a consistent big man, however he's been nothing of that. I truly think Nene is mailing in seasons and is afraid of playing hard. He's too soft and doesn't have the mentality. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong.

I'm with everybody about Wittman. These is the 2nd game, I can't remember the first, but I'm pretty sure it was the other 76ers game where he subbed out Wall after he was hitting jump shots and feeling it. In comes Maynor and the other scrubs and we start to suck. We might as get used to Wittman getting outcoached every game. Wittman might be a highly competitive person, can motiviate, and teammates might love him, but he's not a gameplan or in-game coach. He makes awful decisions. I'd like to see him gone after this season, unless he's fired before it is over.

Since I mentioned Maynor in the last post let me continue with him. What does he add that Price couldn't? Was it contract issues or reasons? Dude has been bad. He cant really shoot that well. His defense was bad this game. He doesn't penetrate very well and if he does he throws the floater that rims out. Ughhh he's been frustrating this season. I'd like to see Beal or Temple become the ball handler at times to see how that turns out. Or find somebody for a 10-day contract. I can't deal with Maynor throughout the season.

Also, does Al Harrington know he's 33 and not the featured player on this team? He plays like he time warped back to 2008.

I like that wall is starting to take 3's now but he isn't attacking the rim looking to score, as a result he is shooting fewer ft's . I Hope he doesn't fall in love with his jump shot.

Wall was penetrating quite often this game. It's just he was kicking the ball out to the open 3 for most of the game.

its also not just as simple as Wall just driving to score. We have talent now so if Wall drives teh most of the time he's either going to dish or kick because everyone on the floor can truly score or shoot. With that being said, I agree that I dont want him falling in love with the 3. However, I do truly believe that people might not accept it but Wall may truly be a better 3pt shooter now. I could see him maybe shooting over 33% which is very good for him.

I just want him to stay aggressive but you have to remember we have 2 bigs who can finish and wings who can hit the open 3 so I dont mind him trying to disect the D and dish to open guys, as long as they finish. Our O could be very hard to stop. Someone said it was a fluke 3pt game but I dont believe that. I think with Ariza, Beal, Webster, & Al getting open looks then every single game atleast one guy will be on and most likely 2

Obviously you're not going to make 18 3s a game...but I think 8-12 a game for this team is reasonable. FT attempts are laughable. Defense still needs some work.

Beal had another bad shooting night, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that he tabulated 8 assists, 5 boards and 3 steals. You gotta love that he can contribute in other ways when his shot isn't falling. He's no Nick Young.
