I'll give Nene props if he plays the next game and doesn't complain about pain in practice tomorrow.

You kind of have to bite you're tongue whenever he plays hard.

Are you new around here? Nene is one of the most loved Wiz players on this board. People only knock him because he's constantly dealing with injuries.

Anyone know why the Nets went away from Lopez in the second half?
Why does Webster get no minutes? Why isn't he paired more with Wall?
Why does our offense look so great at times and so terrible at others?
Is the absence of Okafor really the only reason for our woes on defense?
Can a team get out rebounded by 15 and hope to win consistently?

This win left me with more questions than answers. :-?

Since Philly :D

When you are 0-3, every win is a big win. I actually expected them to win this one at home.

Its the next 3 that are going to be really tough. Hopefully they can win in Dallas and come out of it. Actually, they might actually match up pretty well against SA as well.

SA is one of those teams I instantly just count as a loss. That team just kills us.. every. single. time.

They tried over and over to get him the ball but Gortat absolutely shut him down in the second half.

he was good and bad i thought tonight. But he played his heart out which is the main thing. i think tonight showed though that when his jumper's not falling, he's gonna struggle to put up points. Either way you look at it thought, he destroyed Dwill.

Williams tonight - 5/14 FG, 14 pts, 3 ast, 6 turnovers

I think that might be a bit of a stretch to call him one of the most loved.

Not sure any player gets any unified love around here other than Beal and Wall when he plays well.

Webster gets no minutes because of Bradley Beal and Trevor Ariza. Nuff said

good win by the good guys, but what was that brick that Wall shot in OT not mention the out of control off the wrong leg attempt that got swatted by KG late in the 4th... he needs to add a jump-stop to his game and quit leaving his feet on passes...as pathetic as they looked in going 0-3 i'm proud of them these last 2 especially tonight...now let's get at least 2 of the next 3

Are you kidding me? Webster through the first 4 games led the team with a 72% TS%! This is the second game he has only attempted 1 shot. This just can not happen. Plus even with Beal and Ariza getting big minutes, there is still plenty of time at back up SG and SF for Webster.

Anyone know why the Nets went away from Lopez in the second half?
- Would have to watch the game again but teams adjust and Gortat stepped up. Plus it was their bench that made the push. Lopez wasn't out there.

Why does Webster get no minutes? Why isn't he paired more with Wall?
- Rotations. They played good D on our SFs like we played good on theirs.

Why does our offense look so great at times and so terrible at others?
- The team is still developing with Nene and Gortat out there and they don't have any other ball handlers then Wall so they can only break a team down in so many ways when other team pick up the D

Is the absence of Okafor really the only reason for our woes on defense?
- Its a big reason. But so is Gortat being new.

Can a team get out rebounded by 15 and hope to win consistently?
- depends on when the rebounds happen. And are they offensive or defensive. And how many shot attempts and FTAs are you getting. Are you hitting threes. Getting boards is always go but there is a bigger picture so there isn't an easy answer to that.

I was a lil hard on Wall. Again, I never ripped him like posters rip regular players. He's a beast and can control a game without going beast mode but sometimes I think he just settles for not going beast mode. Wall was rusty last year but what got me so down was that he wasnt even trying to be a Superstar. We were winning games with him and he was playing well because he's that good but he flat out was not trying to be a dominant superstar and thats what you have to do if youre a #1 pick and now an 80mil dollar man.

Then he flipped the switch, started trying to be a Superstar and couldnt no one in this league touch him. Wall has that in him but sometimes he doesnt go for it. He plays hard but I want the aggressive, atacking Wall. With that being said, I didnt expect that tonight. For some reason he never really goes hard at Williams just like Gil never use to really go hard at Kidd. Just one of those things but he still went hard with the passing.

Now the next game will be fast paced against his friend and it will be strong intensity so I actually could see Wall trying to go for 25 next game "if" he isnt dead tired. Maybe Maynor will go off against his former team though. I think our style & lineup matches up well with OKC

In-game posts are off-the-cuff responses to what's happening at that moment. If Wall plays two bad minutes, there's going to posts about it, even if he plays 30+ good minutes. Just learn to take posts made during the game with a grain of salt, like they deserve.

People will rag on Nene so long as there is a non-zero chance of seeing "DNP - Only Felt 99.9% Healthy" next to his name in a box score.

that's is the point.
Members here must define what they think about a players, ie ''love Wall when he plays well.'', okay to analyse if he plays well or badldy in some nights....but love a player and at the same time blaming about him in bad nights particulary bothers me a lot and i do think it[s part o loose minded franchise.
I am a wiz fan, let's support the team...it will be a good season

Not the first time I saw BLopez destroy a team in the first half, only to vanish completely in the second. I don't know what's up with that either.

Well Nene and Gortat is a different combo. They are a taller for combo. And Gortat is a more reliable scorer. Specially if they keep improving on the pick and roll. Plus Wall and Beal are maturing. This roster has more upside than rosters in the past. That have a lot more gelling to do.

I think they are just scratching the surface.

Personally, I think Randy was out coached in a significant way. But they won so it was over shadowed the W.
- He waited to long to bring Gortat back in
- Felt he played down to the unathletic style of BRK with his own version of it.
- BRK got the lead when they went to their bench and got more athletic. Randy didn't really adjust.
- Some weak plays drawn up. Specially that one they double jumped Beal down the stretch

Randy is playing it really close to the vest right now and I can understand why. Lots of unproven coaches with their ass on the line would do that. But the Wizards are going to lose to more athletic teams if they stick with this tight line up. Randy is going to have to adjust and play other players like Glen and Ves in those situations. We will see how quickly he adjusts then those situations happen.

I'm still waiting to see the effect Glen has when they put him in. I saw some good stuff from him in his ability to drive and I think that would really help the team. Specially against more athletic line ups.
