What about a 3 way with Houston and Boston? (December 15th needed)

Rockets send out Asik (maybe with filler)
Rockets receive Bargnani

Boston send out Rondo
Boston received Asik + filler

Knicks send out Bargnani + filler
Knicks receive Rondo

Rockets do this because they want a stretch 4 which Bargs could do.
Knicks do this because they want a good point guard that can command the team.
I don't know if Boston would do this as I think they value Rondo more than Asik, so filler might need to sweeten the deal. On the flip side, Brandon Bass and Asik should play well together.

Nutty idea and stealing the Kings idea.

Send Amare to the Wizards for Nene/Trevor Ariza/Pick.

Nene seems unhappy there and they get out of his contract a year earlier, Nene is still good enough to have a much better impact than Amare would on the court.

Send Shump, Felton, Ariza to the Kings for Hayes, Vasquez, Outlaw.

Not sure how much they want to dump Outlaw and Hayes, Salmons they may prefer, but they are getting some good players, kinda. Makes room for Thomas jr to start at PG.

When Tyson returns.

Start Vasquez, JR, Tyson, Melo, Bargs
Bench Prigs, Hardaway jr, Outlaw, Nene, MWP, Hayes, Cole

Weakest spot would be SG if Woodson continues to green light JR, so fire Woodson, trade JR, or both.

3 way trade with Rockets and Nuggets successful on trade machine -

Knicks receive - Kenneth Fariad
Rockets receive - Iman Shumpert, Wilson Chandler
Nuggets receive - Omar Asik

That is a pretty reasonable trade - one of the few that kind of makes sense.

That said -- not sure Faried solves any of our issues with handling/passing/shooting the ball.

Yes he rebounds but our 3 best players may be Melo/Bargs/Chandler.

I want to either get a pure PG or some guys with actual skills in terms of handling/passing or scoring the ball.

Iman + Hardaway Jr. + Aldrich for Wilson Chandler? Anything of that sort?

Prigioni | Felton | Andrea | Melo | Chandler

Bennie | Swish | Wilson | MWP | STAT

We still need a back up center, but this is the way to help complete our team IMO.

If the Wizards were willing to accept Amare for Nene/Ariza/Pick and NY is willing to take on 2015 salary, it does make other deals easier / more possible.

Deal 1
NY in: Nene, Dragic, Wiz Pick
Wizards in: Amare
Phoenix in: Shump, Ariza

Deal 2
NY in: Nene, Outlaw, Vasquez
Wizards in: Amare
Kings in: Shump, Ariza, Wiz Pick

Similar with Raptors for Lowry or adjust the above.

Nene off the bench would be what was hoped Amare could have done off the bench.

This works:

Rox get a back-up defensive center and a perimeter defender to compensate for Harden, the Knicks get a younger (albet less talented) defensive center and a better scoring point guard.

Felton to the Bobcats for Biyombo and Shump to the Kings for Vasquez in a 3 team trade. Kings give up a 2nd rounder to Knicks which ends up on CHA along with cash consideration.

We'd probably need to throw in Tim Hardaway Jr. and max cash to make this even considerable. Also, Aldrich / Murray if they want.

In a perfect world of a drunken Knicks fan:

Carmelo, Shumpert, Hardaway, cash for Lopez, Batum, Matthews, Crabbe, McCollum and a first?
