He lacks size but he's a quick little bugger. Honestly of all of the "German-Messi's" Meyer and Werner are the first that also bring that great goal scoring instinct on top of being tiny wizards with the ball. Both are just insanely skilled and natural goal scorers.

He is helping me to win the fantasy league I participate in big time.

Was in my starting roster and I was unsure whether I should keep him because he didn't exactly score that many goals in the 2nd Bundesliga last season. Keeping him paid off very nicely so far.

Mainz were interested in him prior to last season but somehow it didn't work out our way. :-?
Could've had a very solid offense of Ramos/Choupo/Müller and Zimling...but now I'm stuck with watching the likes of Okazaki, Polter and Schahin way too often. SMH.

He was not in the picture for a NT team spot, but we might have to reconsider if he keeps this up.

I like Mainz, would've been nice if they got him and had a nice Colombian connection. Soto is off the team as well :(

Bundesliga and Eredivisie are my favorite leagues to watch. Highly technical, less diving, and open style of play - gotta love it. :D

New German NT jersey:
80 € for a jersey without players name/number and only short sleeves.
I don't even want to know what they take for long sleeves, name and number.

Material costs are maybe 2 or 3 € per jersey.

Not once again in my life I will buy a product from the three stripes. In fact, actually I haven't bought one in the last 5 years.

Nike aint much better but at least their prices are a bit more affordable and basically at least 10-15% lower on any product. At least here in Germany.

Xhaka's really built on his strong end to last year. I follow gladbach quite a bit and he was really struggling last year with his defensive responsibilities and because of that was really pressing with the ball and making sloppy passes. He's much calmer since returning to the lineup down the stretch last season, he's still got much room to improve defensively as that Xhaka-Kramer double pivot are leaving the back line exposed a lot, and with Kramer's running Xhaka is often forced to be the one who sits back hitting long balls. But he's much more reliable than last year and has really taken control with the ball this year, he and Arrango trigger almost all of their counters so Kruse, Raffael, Herrmann and Kramer take advantage of their mobility.

I'm a big fan of Xhaka's, and am really high on that swiss NT on the whole, strong defense, a lot of experienced functional midfielders to play behind Xhaka, Sherdan, Stoker and co.

I don't like it either. But at that price I wouldn't buy it even if it was the best jersey I've ever seen.

I bought the full Madrid away short sleeve kit for $140 last month, without name and number! Football shirts are daylight robbery.

Yeah I am buying the new Colombia kit. Looks like it will cost me around 100. Sucks, but I haven't bought a kit in forever so I don't mind

For the upcoming friendly vs Italy, which directly takes place before the Dortmund-Bayern clash, Löw has said:
What Jogi Löw said wrote:The Italy game is very important for our preparation. I don't care about the Dortmund-Bayern game because I want the players to prove themselves. If some players think that they are automatically in the World Cup squad, they are mistaken.

But I rather suspect this
What Jogi Löw meant wrote:The Italy game is utterly unimportant for our preparation. I don't care about the Dortmund-Bayern game because I want everybody to forget my horrible mistakes in the last Italy match when I idiotically started Gomez and Kroos instead of Klose and Müller. If some players think that my personal revenge is more important than their health, they are mistaken.

Bayern announced yesterday new record financial results:

- €432.8 million turnover
- €95.6 million EBITDA
- €14.0 million profit after tax
- total club membership: 223,985 members (#2 just after Benfica)
- additional 3,576 official fan clubs which is boasting total membership of 262,077

Splited revenues:
- Game Day: €150 million
- Sponsoring and Marketing: €102.4 million
- Broadcasting: €44.1 million
- Merchandising: €82.2 million

It's really a pleasure to read the balance sheet. Just showing that Bayern won't go away, they could easily survive a couple of years of suffering. At the moment it looks like Bayern can and should invest app. €55-65 millions in transfers (excluding transfer income) for the next season . Otherwise they would have to pay to much taxes. This amount will increase exponentially, because they are doing really create with covering their debts.
Also the cash reserves are still massive, despite spending high amounts of money in the last seasons.

Khedira has ruptured his ACL in the Italy game and will probably miss the WC.

The NT break has accomplished its mission to destroy a players season again.

So, Hummels picking up an injury again today.

Dortmund surely has a lot of bad luck so far this season. At this point it seems likely that the Bundesliga will be decided by who can compensate injuries better instead of who is a better team on the pitch. :wavefinger:
