GT #15: Wizards @ Bucks 8 PM CSN

Post#1 » by FAH1223 » Wed Nov 27, 2013 3:19 pm

Haven't watched much of Milwaukee this year but if you go over to the Bucks board they have a billboard campaign begging management to do the right thing and quit treading on their 7th/8th/9th seed treadmill by obtaining vets and not tanking properly. Ironically, we're sitting here with their former GM for 10 years and all he wants to do is be a 7th or 8th or even 9th seed to keep his job.

Bucks have a brutally bad backcourt and rely too much on Caron Butler. Really, once Skiles left, it's been mostly downhill for the organization. And they have had injuries. If Washington comes to play, they win. Just play disciplined and watch out for Paculia's elbows.

FAH has been on somewhat of a roll lately with starting Wizards game threads and winning games.

Im really woried about this game. Seems like a trap. We are playing well, we play Indy the next game, with Thaksgiving in between while the Bucks are due for a win and still see us as a weaker team then pretty much everyone else weve been playing recenly. They also have a couple of Wiz killers on there team. Wall is getting pretty confident but starting to boarder on a lil cocky. Hope he stays level headed because that also takes alot of energy out of you.

The thing that makes me feel good about this game is that Brandon Knight is back and starting for them. Wall loves to go hard at the UK guys so I think he will be great again. They do not have alot of great defenders. Zaza is huge but slow so we should put him in alot of P&R'S

The Polish Hammer has made me a fan. I hope we keep that guy.

Doesn't MIL have small PGs? Been very happy with all the things Wall has been doing thus far but I'd like to see him get in the post some eventually. Especially if we get out ahead early in this one. Nene and Gortat seem intelligent enough to know when to cut the basket so it could pay dividends.

Will also be interesting to see if Caron goes HAM against us.

Wall should kill it tonight and extend his streak to 4 games of 30+ scoring. Excited for tonight!! Go WIZ!

The sooner Wall's 30+ points streak ends the better for the team. He had TO at the end of the game, because he wanted score, while he could pass for easy lay-ups. I think Randy was mad about this.

Yea, it's definitely better for the team if Wall breaks his streak of 30+...then the team can finally start winning.

Oh wait, they've won 4 out of their last 5. Theory disproved.

Randy was mad about it and rightfully so but it had nothing nothing nothing at all to do with 30pts. Wall was just hyped up and felt unstoppable. He was thinking about putting the game away. He's been in non stop attack mode, espically if he gets a steal. That 30pts wasnt on his mind at all. He just got the steal and went into attack like he's been doing

Bucks actually are solid at guard. Have Knight & Mayo starting with Ridenhour & Gary Neal off the bench. Also have Nate Wolters who some on here wanted

Ridinour should abuse Maynor. Knight I'm not so worried about but Mayo can actually go HAM.

His shooting isn't actually that bad...but Mayo's WS/48 is abysmal...good god... :0

Well in speaking of Knight, he seems like he's been battling various injuries, playing only 5 games thus far. His last two games since returning to the lineup have been pretty bad, lets not let him get any momentum going now.

Mayo also seems to have had an up and down season, with some stretches of solid play; right now he is also mired in a horrid slump. In his last four games he's shot 9-31 from the field (1-10 from deep) and averaging below 7 ppg along with 2.5 apg and 1.5 rpg. Again you don't expect him to keep up that horrible of a performance, but I hope we do our best to keep a man down as much as possible.

As for Ridnour, Neal, and Wolters: Ridnour missed the first 7 or so games and has been mediocre since his return but that dude always seems to play like Steve Nash against us, Neal has had a solid season, he also seems like the type to go off on us and he's shooting 47% from deep on 4.4 attempts per game, and finally Wolters after a relatively hot start has cooled a bit, but then again he's a white guy and white guy shooters always seem to light us up in years past (granted we're not the Gilbert Arenas led Wizards anymore who prided themselves on getting crushed from deep).

Damnit nuposse04, I try to block out that we have Maynor backing up Wall. For everything he wasn't, Price at least could make some shots and made a defense respect him.

*GASP* Shelvin Mack has had a better season so far for ATL. :(

I think tonight's game will say a lot about the Wizards potential this year. This is the type of trap game that has killed the Wizards in the last few years. The Wizards have always played down to their level of competition. Have they changed and will they take advantage of an easy schedule to gain back lost ground? Or will they come in overconfident that they will win, play half a**ed, and lose a close one to a team they should beat. Based on history, I say its likely that they lose tonight.

Return to Washington Wizards
