Two best rooks showed a lot tonight. I love how they match up against each other too, seems like they give each other their best effort out of the two times they've played.

The Oladipo, MCW clash was fantastic. I'm hoping to remember these performances, then look back, years later, on the beginning of a decade long battle of two great NBA stars.

What to expect of MCW?

Post#1025 » by Hussien Fatal » Wed Dec 4, 2013 6:07 am

Hes averaging 18/6/7/3 so far in his impressive rookie campaign. I know its early but my question is, what do you expect from MCW going forward? Do you expect him to continue putting up these type of raw numbers? Do you expect this type of production to decrease in time or to improve in the future?

I thought he was only rich-man Darius Morris by looking highlights, scouting reports, and his fg% in Summer League/pre-season.. but i horribly wrong.

Hopefully be better version of Tyreke Evans

He really reminds me of a less flashier version of J-Kidd's non peak years.

He's a do it all PG. Low percentage scorer. But makes it up for his 3pt shooting.

I think he can sustain his numbers except for his scoring. I expect a 2-3 ppg dip in his average once 76ers can acquire a legit no.1 option scorer in the near future.

I'm pretty sure he meant it was only shocking to some people, meaning, he isn't surprised.

Let's not forget that Tyreke Evans was putting up better numbers in his rookie season and was a VERY similar player.

I have to disagree with your Tyreke comparison. MCW's court vision and bball IQ are so much better than Reke's.

So he is Brandon Jennings or Tyreke Evans....
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

I'm pretty sure he meant it was only shocking to some people, meaning, he isn't surprised.

From reading quotes before the season, many people on this forum thought MCW was a mediocre at best prospect. So whether he was being sarcastic or not, many other people are surprised. Burke and Schroeder were elevated beyond MCW. They shouldn't have been surprised..

you have bad eyes.

still an impressive play though. I'm kind of growing on Mclemore, he has shown some nice things, his jumpshot combined with athleticism is very nice.

Awesome to watch MCW vs Oladipo. By far the best rookies in this class, I hope this can be the start of a rivalry between the individuals and the teams!

I wasn't overly impressed with MCW, even after his hot start, but all that changes after 2 games against the Magic. Kid looks legit, and his shot doesn't look bad at all, so his FG% will probably improve.

Not even close...he may turn out to be eventually, but he's not even remotely in the discussion right now.
