i mean can you have some humility what was the blazers record the last two years...a couple weeks of success and they think they are some kind of big dogs....easy there portland...its a long season.

I think there's humility in the tweet. The 'asking for a friend' stuff usually is code for 'I'm asking for me' and you could take it as Portland just realizing their chances are better in the East than the West which is 100% true. If they were in the East they'd finish the season with a top 3 seed. Since they're in the West they may wind up 6-8. (Or lower)

I like the blazers team very much. They just had an impressive home win vs the pacers.

But if you look at it the blazers best chance to make a long run in the playoffs might be out west. There are a lot of good teams out west but I think the two best teams in the NBA are in the east.

I think Portland could outplay san antonio in a 7 game series or the clippers. I don't think they could beat indiana and miami in a 7 game series.

I guess I see your point there, but I don't think Portland has any shot at coming out of the West or East, going to the Finals is not the goal for this team, making the playoffs is, with a secondary goal of getting the first playoff win since what, 2000? No question they have a better shot at making the playoffs and getting out of the first round in the East.

Asking for a friend usually means asking for yourself. It's not about dissing some team from the West for failing to get to the playoffs. It is a hit on the East tho.

While i love it, it makes no sense at all.
If they are so confident, they dont need to join the Eastern Conference. I would have prefered if it was a team from e Minnesota to New Orleans who are not qualified for the playoffs AT THE MOMENT !
