As I read from the media, Gilberto is a done deal and was without Drake. Drake is just part of the buildup, the hype, for the announcement.

It has been going back and forth.

Reports have also claimed that Drake has been involved in talks with Jermaine Defoe who will also sign as a DP in Toronto.

Because there have been a bunch of Brazilian Footballers who've gone by the name "Gilberto" here's a link to the guy TFC are luring.

Defoe, Gilberto and a return of De Rosario and TFC are gonna sell out again. Scoring was their problem. It won't be if they can pull off those first two names.

Still, I wish they could have somehow landed Lampard.

I would have purchased seasons if they had.

Defoe and Gilberto are a done deal, I can confirm that. Defoe has been a done deal for a good while now.

But to bring this back around to the Raptors, if we can pimp (for a lack for a better word) Drake out to Europeans and South Americans, imagine what will happen with North American basketball players.

Each Raptors contract will come with 3 video cameos, 5 strip club outings, and a date with Rihanna.

i hated bieber and drake equally, now its not even close. hes music is still more katy perry than tupac, and hes quite the poser pretending to be tough and whatnot, but he seems like a decent enough guy under the marketing. bieber on the other hand....

According to latest rumours reported in Italian media, Toronto FC management have agreed with Genoa on having Italian international striker Alberto Gilardino (31) transferred to them, on a 6 million euros payment, after World Cup 2014. Former AC Milan and Fiorentina scorer would earn about 3 million euros a year, but his ultimate approval on the trade is yet to be given.

I didn't realize Gilberto used to play with Oscar. Nice! I'm a big Oscar fan so that's cool.

I really like this signing. 24 years old and still hungry. If he can score 14 goals in 24 games in Brazil series A he'll absolutely help TFC. Check out the power on that first goal! :eek:

Just watched some video on Gilberto. I love that we went after a younger designated player that's still got something to prove. Good signing. Didn't realize he developed with Oscar. Nice! Check out the power on this strike. :eek:

For some reason, I always thought Defoe was older than he was. I thought he was like mid-thirties, not early thirties. I'm loving both of these and definitely want to watch TFC live more next year.
