Agreed wholeheartedly that we value MKG way more than any other FO.

Same goes for Kemba and Biz.

Hell throw Zeller in there too.

Jefferson has the most recognised body of work in the NBA and is the most recognisable of our players league wise.

He's the most logical choice to gain value in a trade without messing with our (undervalued) core.

He also would hold value to win now teams.

Al Jeff was a dumb signing from the get go. His twinkle toe post moves and ability to absorb rebounds that come right to him are not worth 13.5 million a year. Trade his arse to somebody dumb/desperate for a center and be done with it. Hell, trade him to NY for Bargnani (one year less on his deal, cheaper) and Hardaway, Jr. Am I joking? I don't know anymore.

We trade Jefferson for that and I will hang myself with wax dental floss. And I am not joking, at all.

I think MJ would be more worried about perception and how the fans see the team.

As I mentioned I'm not against trading some players, but I think trading Al and risking players complaining about tanking etc would be a PR move that MJ would want to avoid.

He doesn't want to tank anymore, he wants to win as much as we can.

I can't see any dramatic moves happening this year. (I personally hope I'm wrong)

I don't understand why you guys want to tank so bad for. The only player in this upcoming draft that could make us a championship contender within the next few years after drafting him is Jabari Parker.

Walker was thrilled at the signing, and if you trade Jefferson thats going to send the wrong message to the locker room. Plus Jefferson is fantastic for Biyombo to learn from. Id at least wait another season or so before trying to trade Jefferson.

If we wait another season he's probably just going to walk for nothing.

Who cares if we piss off Walker? since when is he good enough to dictate what our FO does or doesn't do?

Lol tread careful there talking about Walker like that my friend. You may end up being called a hater, stupid, or some other nonsense.

I know, getting rid of our good players was such an awesome idea that it got us a 7-59 season.

Bring back Felton!!

Why win, when you can get rid of all your good players and waste 82 games every year in hopes of ping-pong balls bouncing your way in June, then watching your precious prize underachieve? It's so much more fun that way.

I haven't been a Bobcats fan as long as some of the others but I think some of them must be suffering a compulsive lottery pick disorder or winphobia or something

Because every good player they have they want to magnify his flaws but remain optimistic about the mediocre players on the roster that might have potential.

Like you got people that are more optimistic about Jeff Taylor's potential than Kemba's even though Taylor is older. WTF?!?

Here's what they do: If a guy is playing REALLY bad, just say he's a project and we all knew it was going to take time. Then, once he's playing pretty well, talk about how much he sucks and how he's never going to be an All-Star and that we need to trade him.

I'm pretty sure that's what they did to Tyson Chandler and Jason Richardson to a lesser degree. All I know is that they loss both of those trades.

http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/story/_/ ... big-reveal

8. Charlotte Bobcats | Status: Trying | Record: 10-14 (past week: 1-3)

Charlotte got its first solid win of the season against Golden State last Monday and is on target to reach its goal of making the playoffs. And I don't think the Bobcats' aim is going to change.

From what I can gather, all of the Bobcats' phone calls are about making this team better now. I'm even hearing rumblings that Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will be on the table when he returns from injury.

what would you want in return for MKG, with the assumption we are trying to win now? that means getting future picks is unlikely to be a key piece of the deal for us.

I'm wondering the same thing. It would have to be a SF, because you don't want Taylor there. I'm for Evan Turner or Carmelo Anthony. For sure the Sixers will sell, so my gut tells me Evan Turner is a target.

Im not a fan of either of those guys. Melo will leave next year and Turner cant shoot either. Gordon Haywood would be my ideal target. we would have the cap space to resign him as well.

Think Utah would be down for that?

I wouldn't consider trading MKG, but if I was Cho, and I absolutely had to...

...I would consult with the Thunder for Jeremy Lamb, Perry Jones III, Hasheem Thabeet, & DAL future 1st rounder in exchange for MKG, Jeff Taylor, & Anthony Tolliver

Are we going to start Hendo in some platform shoes at SF for 40 minutes in this scenario?

I would be happy with Hayward, Melo, Turner, Lamb with the main piece being MKG. Really though, the one who helps the most for the playoffs is Melo. He's not as realistic as Hayward though I don't think. And Hayward would be a huge boon for our playoff hopes.

I don't see them doing that. They probably value Jeremy Lamb than the rest of the league, we do so with MKG. Why would they give up a first rounder in any deal in which they don't get rid of Perkins? Why would trade their blue chipper for our blue chipper, yet give up a first rounder for their trouble?
