Chris Andersen: Return To Denver Will Be 'Exciting, Emotional'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Dec 29, 2013 7:46 pm

Chris Andersen is expected to return to the Miami Heat on Monday at the Denver Nuggets, playing his first game in Denver since being amnestied by the team in July of 2012.

“It’s going to be exciting, it’s going to be emotional, but I’ve got a game to play," Andersen said.

Andersen was a fan favorite while spending the majority of his NBA career with the Nuggets.

Well actually, I think the heat organization, his teammates, the birdman fans and birdman himself cares. He was wrongly accused in a child pornography and extortion case which was the major reason he was amnestied by the nuggets because they themselves judged and wanted to distance themselves from him. Many in the nba community accused him of being a pervert based on the serious allegations without proper evidence and declared he should be banished from the legaue. Now that he is innocent, he's looking to be embraced by most of the denver fans who still love him and had his back. The heat are truly the ideal nba organization always looking for the good in players as opposed to just the bad. They are doing the same with michael beasley and maybe even andrew bynum later this season.

Actually the main reason he got amneisted was getting paid 5mil+ a year with 2 years left, and was sitting on the end of the become bedside of mcgee, mozgov and koufus

As opposed to the other breaking headlines such as: "Hawks Recall Jared Cunningham From D-League" or "Knicks May Re-Sign Jeremy Tyler"

Lol I don't think it will be very exciting or emotional because of Birdman.

The only memory of Birdman that I have and will ever remember is his 20-something attempts at making the half court alley-oop to himself in the dunk contest years back... Classic Birdman in his prime.

Manimal vs. Birdman should be an interesting match-up.

Go get your facts straight, he was making less than 5M a season and his jersey was the best seller on the nuggets roster after melo was traded. Nuggets are owned by Stan kroenke and his walmart inheritance family, they are cheapskates who barely ever buyout players let alone ones with multi year deals. Look at the other teams they own in the st louis rams and colorado avalanche. The nugggets amenestied him so they didn't have to deal with his legal issues - they would have sent mozgov to the d-league to get bird man minutes, he was a fan favourite if he wasn't accused.

I don't think Denver will be excited or emotional about the Birdman's return. No one cares.
