Can't imagine we have enough to make it happen, but getting Lowry and Zbo here with Melo.. and perhaps Iman or Hardaway would make this team interesting.

We need to trade Melo for some young assets. This team is a 2nd round exit at best. I don't want Melo to leave and for us to be left with nothing....

Keep Shumpert unless we need him for a trade since his value isn't even high at this point. Can potentially develop into a decent 3 & D starting SG.
Keep THJ he can be a good 6th man type of player.
If we can get decent assets for Chandler do it.
Tank like a ****** in 2015. We should start an Amare + Bargnani frontcourt to lose as many games as possible.

What was the rumor for the Kyle Lowry trade? Toronto's GM wanted two of the following three for him..

Shump, Tim Jr, and a 2018 first round pick.

I still can't believe Dolan squashed that. Shump looks like trash most of the time. NYK and their deep pockets should never have a top 7 pick again, so the pick shouldn't have been the problem. Tim Jr is the only piece I wouldn't have wanted to lose, as a Knicks fan. As a Raptors fan, I'm glad Dolan squashed it.

and yet, here we are, staring at the lottery with no pick. deep pockets and all.

dude is a free agent next summer. who the hell is stupid enough to trade a first round pick down the line for a year rental?

I wouldn't think NY would be able to get much... Asking another team to take on 20m over the next 2 seasons in return for a 2018 1st Rd pick and expect an upgrade in talent in return? Maybe if JR were able to return to form you might be able to get an expiring contract...

I had a weird dream last night that I was on the Knicks. Kenyon was our interim GM. He opened up talks with the T-Wolves about a Rubio for Felton-THJ-2018 pick swap trade. None of the other players wanted to do it, and neither did the fans. While Kenyon went to the bathroom, I approved the trade and everybody was pissed, but Kenyon took the blame.

My question is: how would you guys feel about this trade in real life?
And just like that, the lead has been cut to 8!

Honestly, I don't think Minn would do it... Why would they unless they didn't think they could resign him???? But, the trade from a Knicks standpoint would be a MUST. Whenever this team has gotten solid PG play, it HAS thrived! Rubio, a resigned Melo, Chandler, Shump is a VERY solid core.

Going with Mr. Sources.

Knicks trade Melo to the Clippers.

Denver gets Shump and Blake.

Knicks get Gallo, Miller, 1st back from Denver.

Go in to full tank mode, don't bring Gallo back until next year.

Would Denver give up the first for Blake / Shump though?

How about this:

GS: Carmelo Anthony
NYK: Harrison Barnes, David Lee, 2019 1st rd pick, 2021 1st rd pick

GS Lineup:
Curry/Thompson/Iguadola/Melo/Bogut

NYK Lineup"
Felton/Shumpert/Barnes/Lee/Chandler
