Golden St has way way better shooters as is. The way I see it, Melo's trade value is rock bottom right now. The guy may have a decent PER and score a lot, but the way he plays doesnt win playoff series, let alone titles. If Melo goes anywhere it should be to play 2nd fiddle to someone like Chris Paul or Kobe.

I'd do it if you could include some lower level assets, like a couple of 3rd stringers with a bit of upside, a 2nd or two, etc. Don't know what you guys have to offer there but I'd ask for a something like that. Would be willing to include a bench player too, like Beno Udrih or Kenyon Martin.

Bargs + Hardaway Jr. + $3 million for Sanders?

Works logistically for them, I'm sure we need to include more, right? It gets them out of his salary years sooner, which could become bad if his attitude and "I got paid" attitude keeps up.

(For those who don't know, he's had bar fights and confrontations with teammates since his payday)

We have Marques Teague, he's young and has potential but atm he sucks.

If we were to somehow get Melo, I think we'd be able to convince Deng to sign for what we were originally offering him with a real shot to win.

I thought about something like this from a knicks fan perspective too (would even take on Dunleavey and Teague's deals too if it helps CHI resign Deng or bring over Mirotic), but the pick needs to be top 5. And in my opinion, with the exception of Jabari, Melo will contribute more than any of the other rook within the Bulls window, in terms of giving them what they need (the secondary scorer beside Rose).
