Knicks get - Andre Miller, Kenneth Faried & JaVale McGee

Pelicans get - Raymond Felton & Tyson Chandler

Nuggets get - Eric Gordon & Jason Smith

hell no

Why not?
Faried becomes another trade asset this off-season, along with Timmy, Murry, Shump, & our expirings in Amar'e, Metta & Bargs.

McGee cuts into 2015 cap space

I prefer to keep around the guys Melo actually has chemistry with and rather just look for an upgrade at either Point Guard or Power Forward, just upgrading one of those spots helps us a ton

We get to clear out JR and get Gordon in return who is better than anything we have @ SG.

Would make more sense to swap Shumpert for Hardaway Jr from the Knicks POV. Question is would Gordon be happy playing with the Knicks? Cause he's also a guy that will not play well if he's not happy where he is...like Bargnani.

Why wouldn't Gordon be happy here? Big city + Melo? I'd take that shot and if it doesn't work, we still have 2015.

Felton, Bargs, THJ, Udrih for Glen Davis, Nelson

Edit: Actually, scratch this. Davis and Nelson are much worse than their stats show them off to be.

I have a better one - Tyson + JR + Beno for Gordon + Jason Smith + Future Pick from NO.

NO gets their defensive center and a PG that they need and they get rid of Gordon. We get a second scorer next to Melo and a future pick.

Felton/Prigs/Murry
Gordon/Shumpert
Melo/MWP
Bargs/Amare
Kmart/Smith/Tyler

Wouldn't the Nets use their DPE to trade for JR?

Metta/Beno for Ronnie Brewer/Greg Smith

Brewer is another defender we really lack
Smith has great size(6'10, 250) who can help us with them big bodies in Indiana

Raymond Felton, Pablo Prigioni, Beno Udrih, Cole Aldrich

FOR

Jeremy Lin

Saves Rockets significant cash ($5M) and doesn't bother McHale at all.

Rockets have 5 pgs after this and Lin is better than any of them

I am an Aldrich fan but we trade our 6th man for players that won't play...brooks>any of those pgs and smith or even tj playing center>Aldrich

Plus we would have to cut players

Not sure where this guy is getting this from, but if true:

Knicks get: OJ Mayo/Sanders

Oklahoma gets: Tyson

Bucks get:Perkins/Thabo/Lamb or Reggie Jackson

Guys, I was listening to 98.7 ESPN around 6pm and Dollar Bill Daughtry was talking about a Chris Brousard report about the Celtics and Amare that was up on ESPN insider today.

So, I get home and come here to see what the story is and nothing on this Celtics/Amare thing from " Multiple Sources" Brousard (although it was interesting to see the Thibs thread from the Daily News)

Anyway, WTF was it that Broussard had on ESPN insider about the Celtics and an Amare trade?

Anyone have ESPN insider?

Keep hoping Amar'e plays good ball, and we are able to ship him at the deadline (best chance: to the Lakers for Pau). The way he has been playing lately, especially tonight in this first half against the Sixers, if he keeps putting up numbers he will be traded.

Over the last 2 weeks he has been averaging 12 ppg/7rpg/1 bpg on 53 % shooting all in under 25 minutes per game.

His numbers keep improving, along with his conditioning. I think coming off the bench for him is really helping.

No he won't. His contact is still too largest and he is still an injury waiting to happen.

Besides, I think Dolan loves Amare.

Unfortunately the perception is Amar'e is damaged goods and due to Knicks poor track record with deals teams come to the table with a high price to start...

Someone has to go at the deadline, our rotation is going to be too big to get a good flow going (if everyone is healthy) I really dont wanna see Martin lose any time he seems to bring a different type of energy compared to Chandler, can't pinpoint it.

Chandler, Bargs, Amare, Martin, MWP I can't see how thats gonna work
