Martell's hairline is starting to look LeBron-esque. Let's see if he breaks out the Shamwow headband to cover it up like James has.

Beal can't handle the ball like Harden can -- or Wade, for that matter. Once Beal's handle improves, I think he'll take it to the hole more. But for now, he's seems to be more comfortable shooting within 1-2 dribbles -- which means he's usually shooting from the perimeter.

Not possessing elite handles isn't an excuse for not driving to the hoop. It also shows poor awareness and understanding to make the least efficient shot in basketball your "bread and butter", especially when you're shooting 40+% from 3 (the most efficient shot in basketball).

We'll have to ease up on Beal if he gets a triple double today. 7 points, 5 boards, 4 assists with more than 5 minutes left in the half.

But we shouldn't if we want him to be a superstar - handles, awareness and effort on the defensive end are (IMO) the only things holding him back. Lots of folks have told me that comes in year 3.

I'm certainly glad to see Beal go back to hitting the glass. That used to be a strength of his. But as of late, he's been putting up Rip Hamilton/Nick Young-esque stat lines.

:D

He's having a good game but he's also been spotting up for 3 and letting the game come to him.

Oh, no doubt. I'm not justifying his decision making; I'm just explaining it. I'm as frustrated as you are.

I freaking HATE when Wall plays the el matador reach from behind defense. I would bench him for doing that sh*t because it's the epitome of selfish basketball.

That is one of the ways we get into trouble - when Wall and Beal don't force the issue on the defensive end by staying in front of the assignments...

I can't enjoy 2Q leads. Like Winter, the 3Q is coming.

Wall loves to go 2 for 1 at the end of the half but if its not there then you shouldnt force it. We got the ball with 44 sec so we had plenty of time to do a regular play anyways and still get 2 for 1

Wiz FT shooting margin is an MLK Day miracle.

It seems like Nene's become a defensive specialist. His shooting touch looks awful, but his defense has been excellent.

We need to get a real NBA coach here that will teach Wall and Beal how to play smart, efficient basketball. They both take the dumbest shots and make the most ridiculous decisions at times without risk of being benched.

Wall taking fadeaways from the corner like he's MJ without making one pass is just inexcusable.
