Jimmy Nelson was the only Brewer to crack MLB.com's Top 100 prospect list. He was 83rd.

Yeah, hopefully Seid can do something finally. I'd have gone with a bit of a rebuild but it would be nice if we could get back into contend this year and finally backfill the prospects. Given that most of the prospects we dealt away have been uninspiring, our farm system has been (relatively) bare since Braun came up.

If Seid's picks don't start producing more higher level prospects, his hiring IMO will go down pretty easily as the biggest mistake of Melvin's tenure. For any small market team to thrive, it's near impossible to do so without a consistently productive farm system and that hasn't happened so far under Seid.

Hell, just look at the Cardinal pitching staff and how many of those guys can via their farm system.

Does he know it's wrong? That had to be intentional. If not, I'd never show it off and I'd pay to have it corrected.

Am I the only one annoyed that everyone in the media has seemed to forget that the whole Braun fiasco came from a positive drug test in 2011 and proceeded to have a monster 2012?

Everyone keeps claiming he could be **** this season because he's won't be on the juice. What makes them think he was juicing in 2012?

if i still got annoyed every time the media was stupid, i'd never be anything other than annoyed.

It's the reason I couldn't care less about the situation. He got suspended in a year that was going nowhere and now he's back to start the season. 2012 was better than 2011.

I like how Fox Sports on their bottom line refers to Gonzalez as a first baseman only. Do a little research and at least call him an infielder.

Via Venezuelan journalist @RafaelTejera: Carlos Marmol says Red Sox, Brewers & Marlins after his services, and he's likely to remain in NL.

Please no.

I mean for a minor league deal or something I'd take Marmol as a reclamation project but knowing how these things work we'd overpay.

Wish we would go after Oliver Perez instead and I also wish we would've gone after Jeff Baker.

Cheap bench power can be nice, but who is our platoon-mate for Baker? We don't have anyone to play the important side of the platoon.

If only just so we didn't have to face Baker. That son of a bitch owns us.

Still have Overbay who has been average against righties the past few years. Obviously still a problem but there's no one in free agency or in a trade to fix that problem, Baker would have at least fixed some of the problem, even if it was only 25%.

TH says we are still kicking the tires on relievers, but waiting for the asking prices to come down. K-Rod, Marmol, and Gregg were a few names mentioned. I'd be interested in taking a shot on Hanrahan even with his injury history.
