I wouldn't trade Henderson 'straight up' for none on this extended list except for Mayo

Why is Shumpert on the list? Lol

my original query was simply guards who have made more than 50 3s at 32% or better (removing point guards and all-stars). shumpert fit that category.

Pretty much everyone from 9 down is questionable at best, especially Stump and Gerald Green. Wouldn't this make more sense in the trade or Hendo thread? #backseatmoderating

Edit: I obviously meant Shump, not Stump, but it's funnier so I'll leave it.

yes, it is more of a hendo thread, but it was related to the spacing problems we have with jefferson. such as, which shooting guards would fit better next to jefferson than hendo? not really, are these guys better than hendo?

danny green isnt better than hendo, but he is a much better fit next to jefferson. at what point does a better fit trump better overall talent?

Ah, well that's a bit different, you asked who we wouldn't trade for straight up.

There's a lot of guys on there, like Danny Green, who would be a better fit but aren't necessarily better players. And thus, many of them I wouldn't give up Hendo for straight up.

Although in many cases it wouldn't take much more to convince me.

Danny Green wouldn't even be a key rotation player if he didn't play his specific role with the Spurs. You'll notice it the second he leaves the Spurs for another team.

If Cleveland has a fire sale I'd try and get Waiters for cheap.

Agreed!

About time we took a chance on someone.

He's probably the best player who suits our needs available.

I can't imagine the Cavaliers making a trades with the interim GM in place, but if they hire Grant's successor at least a week before the deadline then you can expect to see a couple of wholesale moves with their young players excluding Kyrie Irving. I think Tristan Thompson as well as Dion Waiters will be in play. Only Waiters should interest Charlotte

I'll take Wes Matthews over Klay Thompson easily. Arron Afflalo, too.

I can't quibble with your larger point, however. Hendo has disappointed me.

Thompson>Afflalo>Matthews. Thompson can defend at a high level and is a much better shooter and scorer.

why all the "no" responses for gerald green?

he is averaging 13.7ppg (15.1ppg in 31 games as a starter) and he has already made 114 3pter this season at 37.5%. and he would definitely take it to the rim more often then hendo. he seems like a much better fit next to jefferson and MKG.
