Maybe the teams contacted his agent? Or maybe it's not true and is just a case of writers making up things to get a story, which we all know they do. Fact of the matter is that he isn't on the block and he hasn't asked for a trade. Even if those stories were true (Which I have my doubts about), like I said just because he doesn't want to play in Sacramento or Toronto doesn't mean he doesn't want to be here.

The Knicks rumor mill hasn't shifted, they're still talking about Rondo. Their beatwriters and fans are pretty much linking them to any player that could possibly be traded whether it's Rondo, Teague, Lin, Josh Smith, Eric Gordon, Tyreke, etc.

No the Knicks have been specifically after an upgrade at PG and for Kenneth Faried, who makes no sense for them on the floor next Melo and must be in the belief that he would be a more attractive trade chip than what they have currently.

I don't care what Knicks fans have to say that is as relevant as what Celtics fans have to say that isn't what matters. It is actions. We keep hearing Rondo isn't on the block and isn't getting traded but the noise gets louder and nobody seems to believe it.

Hilarious how the first we hear about Rondo and Melo being friends is when Berman decides to make it up.

Rondo wants to win another championship. Going to the worst run org in the league, with a 30 year old max Melo, a garbage coach, and nothing else on the roster seems like an odd way to achieve that goal.

According to the Rockets forum or w.e, apparently the Rockets are interested in Deng. Would a 3 team trade work with the Celtics trading Rondo/Green (Green to Cleveland) the Rockets trading Parsons and some other pieces to the Celtics and draft picks involved obviously with all teams involved. Seems like it could work?

But why would Ainge accept that he isn't likely going to be the GM in 2020? What good are pick swaps if the team is better than you are?

The only way the Knicks can make a deal for Rondo work that isn't a hostage situation is if PHX decides it has to have Tyson Chandler at any cost. That isn't likely.

I don't think anyone is offering a 1st round pick for Hardaway or Shumpert so they don't have the value of a 1st round pick.

I don't see how. The Cavs have the picks to trade for Rondo but what are they getting back that would make them give up their picks if Rondo is going to HOU?

Any truth to Rondo to Houston and if so is parsons included. I just don't see it happening since Morey and Ainge are such good gms and both are going to expect too much.

Rondo has been available for months, but the price is high. I don't think the Rockets have the assets. Parsons would help, Asik would obviously be part of it. But the Rockets draft picks aren't anything to write home about. Celtics would prefer much higher picks. The Kings proposed trade was more appealing, but Kings realized they probably don't have a shot of re-signing Rondo. Raptors could be an interesting team if they want to throw their hats in the ring. They have the assets and I think Masai Ujiri could convince Rondo to stay long term.

How long is this Houston rumor gonna remain on the fringe? Seems like no national writers want to pay attention to it at the moment.

Im getting the feeling that unless Rondo's dealt to NY or Hou, he;s gonna threaten to not re-sign. And since NY cant offer us anything, it looks like Houston plus a third or fourth team is gonna be a must. As it should be, since this will put Houston in the Championship picture for the next few years atleast, they'd better be willing to pay up.

I actually like it for the Knicks, getting rid of Fatboy Felton (addition by subtraction).

Shumpert will look good with chris paul though, Collison should just bring the friggin ball up the court and pass it to the open guy and they'll be good, something Fatboy couldn't do.

There is literally nothing to help form that opinion

He is going to test free agency regardless because he gets the most money that way, he told us as much.

Danny needs to improve this roster and make it attractive to players, Rondo included
