Knicks, Clippers Discuss Shumpert, Felton For Collison Deal

The New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers are discussing a deal involving Iman Shumpert and Raymond Felton for Darren Collison.

The Knicks have been strongly pushing trading Shumpert in their hopes of upgrading the point guard position.

Doc Rivers is determined to be more athletic on the wing and Shumpert is one of the best young perimeter defenders in the NBA.

Smh knicks are so desperate. I'm a knick fan but not a delusional one. Were ****. So sad that we can get a better front office. It's always been the main problem

As much as it sucks to be a Knicks fan, it's still better to stay loyal to a team and than to simply jump on the bandwagon of another.

No! I thought it was Shump-Felton & filler to Boston for Rondo. Damn.

Lol I can't with the media & the obvlious Knick fans. As a NYer, I feel terrible to loyal old knick fans who just continue to support a miserable franchise. I give them a lot of respect (my dad, close friends, gparents).

But then you have those other NY fans who expect Rondo to force a trade to NYK for Shump & picks :lol:

PS. I like Shump a lot. Just not an allstar like most fans thought he was gonna be.

Clippers better not take the deal sending out Bullock. We are giving the knicks an upgrade at PG and we have to give up a prospect? To hell with that bull Shumpert should be ours for taking Felton.

Loyalty. No one forced me to grow up loving the team. If a team is really your favorite, you stick with it even during the bad times.

i think he really is. he is lighting quick and a really good defender. also he is very active, compared to the lazy felton. only thing felton is better at is the outside shot, and its not like he is lights out either.

I dont think he is worthy trading your best asset away tho. they shouldn't do this

Knicks seem to be the most active team prior to the deadline - it seems like they will get a point guard out of all these talks...althought it went from Lowry to Rondo to Teague...now Collison. Still better than Felton for sure

I don't know about that, our team has been crappy for the last who knows how many seasons. Glad this year is working out better, but lets not get too optimistic here. It has to carry over into a winning culture/organization over time, not just for a single season.
