Heard it is one pick from us and the other pick is Denver to Philly.

Just one 2nd rounder. Not a bad trade in itself, but #sowizards.

Vesely. Maynor. Having to give up a second round pick.

For a 37 year old backup pg.

Not only that, but the whole reason this move is necessary because: Shelvin Mack. Javaris Fricking Crittenton. Jordan Crawford. Nate Wolters. Price. Satoransky. Juan Carlos Navarro.

Wow. Just…

Wow.

I hate to see Ves go for a 40 year old PG. He wasn't used properly in DC but glad to get rid of Maynor.

So if we like Miller and want to keep him, we get to pay him $4.625 million next year. And if we don't, we get to pay him $2 million not to play for us. How is this good?

The 6ers got 2nd rounders from the Wiz and Denver in exchange for accepting Maynor.

Woj at Yahoo Sports reports:

Washington sends out Vesely to Denver, Maynor to Philly, and a second round pick to Philly
Denver sends Miller to DC and a second round pick to Philly
Philly gets Maynor and those 2 second-round picks. They give up nothing; they're just facilitating.

J. Michael of CSN is saying we are giving up just the one second and it's a 2015. As long as it isn't the NOP pick, then I will like the deal.

The $2M in dead money isn't ideal next year if we go that route -- but it's a hair less than Maynor due and we'd have an open roster spot. If Miller can still do what he's done the past several years, I don't think he''d be all that overpaid at his full salary (even though there would be tons of cheaper options on the market).

I think Jan will be in a good situation in Denver. Shaw will get more out of him than Randy.

Miller will help the Wiz get a higher seed this year though.

I think you are right about Jan. He might shine in the Nuggets system.

The Zards desperately needed improved play (and playmaking) at a backup PG and Miller gives them that. It will also cut down on the wear and tear on JW.

Miller should help a lot of the 2nd unit players shine. Plus he is a vet and can teach Wall some of his tricks. The only thing I don't like about Miller is that he isn't a great outside shooter.
