You're a beautiful former cheerleader for the Chicago Bulls.

Most people seem very happy with EG's trade, but I don't understand. If Washington could have gotten Turner, who'd be a better PG, for a 2nd why Andre Miller?
Turner is not a good player. Miller is better. Even at age 37. Turner has yet to have a season as good as Miller's worst.

Miller's a high quality upgrade off the bench.

Miller has been in the league 15 years. In those 15 years, he's never had a season as bad as Maynor's best season (or Temple's best season, for that matter). If he plays 5 more seasons, I doubt that will change. A slow-motion 37-year-old, who can't hit a three, is worlds better than your Tiger Beat Fave.
Miller's game has always depended on good decision making. Wall already has speed and good court vision, but he can learn a few things from Miller about running a half court offense. Plus, Miller rarely gets injured. That'll probably change with the Wizards, right?

Who wins this three - on - three?
Andre Miller, Al Harrington, Nene Hilario
Vs.
Randy Foye, Jan Vesely, and Javale McGee
the answer to that question is not particularly important.

Miller has always played well. He's an excellent PG. And Ernie accomplished both his main goals: 1) look like you're doing something, and 2) get your mistakes out of town in trades rather than having to cut them -- which makes it kind of obvious they were mistakes (don't want that....).
If he plays, he'll be a plus. Even if he only plays a few weeks. He isn't the problem. The need to trade for him and to get rid of Ernie's stupidities -- that's the problem.
What did Ernie ultimately get from the #6 and #18 picks of the 2011 draft?
A three month rental of a 37 year old backup PG and a roster slot.
dobrojim wrote:omegatronic3 wrote:pancakes3 wrote:Of course. Classic EG. Where's the "I give up" smiley?
this is such a classic Ernie move.....making a mad dash for mediocrity by trading big and young for old and small.
Braking all the cardinal rules. Granted Miller is an upgrade at the 2nd unit pg spot but without Veseley we're pretty thin at the 4/5 and not very big. EG screwed up royally with the Veseley pick but he was just starting to be semi productive. Watch Veseley blossom now ...reminds me of Rod Strickland for Rasheed Wallace. If theres an injury to Gortat or Nene who do we have on the bench now??? Booker at 6'7" or Seraphin at 6'9"?
EG is the king of the unimpressive trade and the king of bad draft picks. Fire his ass already.
to all the folks who are talking about breaking the Webber/Richmond rule, young/old/big/small,
Jan Vesely was/is NOT Chris Webber.

sounds mostly like he got upset about his games played streak ending
when he could have played. Arguably a little selfish but not the worst thing
in the world. He should play here and that should make him happy.
I do wonder how much he'll play though. I was thinking solely backup min
for John. But if the team does well when he's on the floor, presumably they
would adjust min accordingly.

There are times, Miller, where I out-and-out worry about you.
But, since you insist......

FWIW, I always assume you're drunk.
