I think it's more likely than Kevin Love.

Bosh is happy in Miami while Kevin Love is not happy in Minnesota. How is it more likely that Bosh comes here than Kevin Love?

Bosh's max is 23m a year. So yeah, no...

It's my gut feeling, as when I posted about it months ago, that he will opt out & when Miami low balls him over keeping Wade & James will take a big offer on a good team where he will be option 1a or 1b. It's just how I see things playing out.

I like Beverely a lot. He's the best PG defender in the NBA imo and he isn't useless offensively. If we lose Bledsoe, I'd like to see us go after him after next season. Houston probably won't be able to afford him with Harden and Dwight both on max contracts and Parsons extension coming up.

Houston won't have any problem affording him.

Yes, PHX will be an attractive FA destination, for the second tier guys like Monroe or Hayward. I cannot see LBJ or Melo actually signing in PHX.

I can't say I want Melo. I'd be stupid to say I don't want LBJ. But I really like Hayward. I think he's the best fit and the more realistic than the other two. Assuming we resign Bledsoe.

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I don't necessarily think Melo would be bad, he can catch and shoot and he can create in the ISO we love so much. Rudy Gay is another guy that could fit very well but people won't be overly excited if we sign him.

Also, I don't think Hayward is any more realistic given that he's a RFA. I think Gay if he opts out is a guy we make a serious run at.

I just feel like Melo would want more touches than Bledsoe and Dragic. Dragic and Bledsoe are so much more dynamic with the ball than he is, I could see it being a problem. I think Hayward is more of a complementary player who would let Dragic and Bledsoe run the show, stepping in when he is needed. And I still think that Hayward can be pried away from Utah. No real grounds for why. Just a feeling.

Here is a ranking of the free agents available. http://hoopshype.com/free_agency_2014.htm I would go for Lebron all the way, even though I know there is an incredibly slim chance he would come here. I really think he will stay in Miami. There is honestly no reason for him or Wade or Bosh to leave. They are the favorites to reach the finals again for the fourth straight time and win for the third straight time. You do not walk away from a situation like that, especially when Pat Riley is running things.

As far as the rest of the guys available, I heard Gambo on the radio during the past couple of weeks say the Suns have absolutely no interest in Melo, so forget about him. He is a great scorer, but he is a volume shooter and a ball stopper. That does not seem to fit what the Suns like to do. He is a star, but not on the level of Lebron and KD. Besides the Heat players and Carmelo, Bledsoe is one of the best free agents available, and the Suns are 99.9% certain to keep him. So considering the other guys available, there is not much that excites me. Hayward, Deng, Monroe, those guys all are going to want max money or close to it. The Suns cannot afford to give a max to guys like that or they will be stuck as a second tier team because none of those guys are near superstar level.

The Suns are probably going to have to make a trade in order to acquire a superstar and the obvious target is Kevin Love. Now I have said before that every time I watch Love, he seems slow and not athletic, but he is still better than any power forward the Suns currently have. Love and Plumlee or Love and Len sure seems better than Frye. I would also rather get Love than sign any of those mid-tier free agents that are going to be available this offseason. I will reiterate though that I absolutely would not trade Len, Plumlee, or Goodwin for anything less than Lebron or Durant. The reason why is because you want Plumlee and Len to play next to Love. And I am as high on Goodwin as I have been on any rookie the Suns have had in the last ten years, so I want to see him stay on the team.

This is what I see, Gay or Hayward. We are going to have to win the hard way, the Pistons' way! If we are good with Dragic and a bunch of role players, how good would we be with Bledsoe, Dragic, Gay or Hayward with one of the latter being a third option?!

Gay is still nice and young

I don't understand the Hayward love. He's shooting 29 % and 13 % from 3 in his last 5 games while only averaging 10 ppg, including a horrible 3-17 shooting performance against a bottom feeder team in the Sixers. Definitely don't want to pay him anywhere near the max. Rudy, on the other hand is interesting. If he is willing to sign a reasonable contact, I would love to have him here. He's been lighting it up with Sacramento and he's had some great seasons in Memphis. He's got a negative reputation because of his performance in Toronto and his contract, but that won't be an issue here.

No way we go after Gay. I doubt he opts out anyway. Hayward will be matched, so not sure why we keep talking about him.

Obviously Love is the best option if we can trade for him at the next deadline or sign him the following summer. I doubt LeBron leaves. Bosh is actually a really nice fit with our personnel...maybe the next best after Love, but I doubt he leaves either.

If we wait until 2015, to see if we can get Love, and that fails, another free agent at that time will be Millsap, who wouldn't be a bad second option.

Otherwise I don't see any point in signing a guy just to user our cap space. We should probably keep the cap space available for potential lopsided trades that allow us to take back more salary then we send out.

If we can't sign a premier free agent but still want to go all in for 2014-15, we could sign someone like Gasol or Randolph to work the low post, but I'd only want to if they'd do a one year deal.

But I still might not do that because it could impact our flexibility in making a trade for Love or something. They may not want to take back a lot of long term salary, or they may want to ship out the Kevin Martin contract too if they are planning to rebuild, tear it down and go younger.

Mostly it is projecting him as he would play on this team. Most, and reasonably so, think you would see better quality of play with him here with Goran/Bledsoe/Hornacek. His shooting percentages this year are atypical for his career and despite the poor shooting, his skillset is undeniable: he can rebound, he's a playmaker, he has range on his jumper, and overall is pretty versatile.

If he opts out, he'd have to have a guarantee with us  But yea, I feel like this would be a great landing spot for him. He needs to be in a high octane open spacing system to get the maximum play out of him. He is a good post up player too!!

Regarding Hayward, a sign and trade could be arranged. And even if Utah intends to match any offer, it wouldn't prevent Phoenix from still putting that to the test and signing him to an offer sheet. Both Batum and Hibbert signed offer sheets with other teams. And I don't think it is a certainty that the Suns wouldn't pursue Gay, if he opted out.
