Here is a ranking of the free agents available.
http://hoopshype.com/free_agency_2014.htm I would go for Lebron all the way, even though I know there is an incredibly slim chance he would come here. I really think he will stay in Miami. There is honestly no reason for him or Wade or Bosh to leave. They are the favorites to reach the finals again for the fourth straight time and win for the third straight time. You do not walk away from a situation like that, especially when Pat Riley is running things.
As far as the rest of the guys available, I heard Gambo on the radio during the past couple of weeks say the Suns have absolutely no interest in Melo, so forget about him. He is a great scorer, but he is a volume shooter and a ball stopper. That does not seem to fit what the Suns like to do. He is a star, but not on the level of Lebron and KD. Besides the Heat players and Carmelo, Bledsoe is one of the best free agents available, and the Suns are 99.9% certain to keep him. So considering the other guys available, there is not much that excites me. Hayward, Deng, Monroe, those guys all are going to want max money or close to it. The Suns cannot afford to give a max to guys like that or they will be stuck as a second tier team because none of those guys are near superstar level.
The Suns are probably going to have to make a trade in order to acquire a superstar and the obvious target is Kevin Love. Now I have said before that every time I watch Love, he seems slow and not athletic, but he is still better than any power forward the Suns currently have. Love and Plumlee or Love and Len sure seems better than Frye. I would also rather get Love than sign any of those mid-tier free agents that are going to be available this offseason. I will reiterate though that I absolutely would not trade Len, Plumlee, or Goodwin for anything less than Lebron or Durant. The reason why is because you want Plumlee and Len to play next to Love. And I am as high on Goodwin as I have been on any rookie the Suns have had in the last ten years, so I want to see him stay on the team.
