weve beat them 3 times but they are the better team? No. Im not buying that at all. If we were on the road we wouldve looked like the better team. Its the 2nd night of a b2b and weve looked like crap at home and still beat them for the 3rd time

He's been an extremely solid midrange shooter for years. He shot .445, .438 and .452 from 16-22 feet in 2012, 2011 and 2010 respectively. That's a good enough percentage that you actually want a player shooting long 2's. He's probably over 50% when he gets a good look.

The new wrinkle is the 3-ball. That could be huge for him and really extend his career.

Just got home from the game. This may sound flippant, but I honestly think Chick-Fil-A won the game for us.

For most of the game, the crowd was eerily lifeless.

When Kirilenko missed those free throws and the crowd won a free sandwich, it exploded... And stayed very loud down the stretch. And the Wiz fed off that energy. Felt like Wiz-bulls playoffs when Jamison stuck a big three ball late.

Right, and some part of that may have been his layoff from the game, the ability to do nothing but work out and take shots allows him to drill from range, and some part is this team's playstyle he's been given wide open shots and plenty of time to wind up into them. Plus a midrange big man is an ideal fit for Witt's Flip Saunders-derivative offense.

So for those of us who have been keeping tabs of John Wall, his "breakout" game came about a dozen or so games ago. I refer to that as the game that said to us that he's arrived. I think other players know this as well. Refs dont yet give him the respect. The majority of fans for other teams dont yet think he's arrived. I think all that changes today. He did enough to show that he is a factor. He can turn a game.
I remember way way back when I noticed that Jordan arrived. Before that, there was talk that Jordan was a selfish player and would never be more than a Drexler type player. Refs werent giving him the calls, fans hadnt yet noticed him so much... Then with the addition of a few sidekicks like Pip, Oakley, Paxon, Grant, who knew their roles in a system, they became a team.
I am not saying Wall is Jordan. Far from it. Very far from it. But he can turn a game, like Jordan. We are still a few sidekicks away, a good system away, and a good coach away. But we have some good pieces. What I am saying is that this Wizards team reminds me of 86-87 Bulls and where they were at that point of their storied history. Still a ways to go, but things were looking up for them, as it should be for us as well.

As the final seconds ticked off, Wall held the ball screaming, “This is my city!”

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

What a game. Im gonna watch it again. I dont know what it was about it, but that was one of the most exciting games of the year. I was fist pumping jumping up and down out of my seat in the 4th. I think the neighbors almost called the cops when Gooden hit that 3. Drew Gooden!!! Who would ever pick Drew Gooden as the guy that would shoot you back into a game? Being a Wizards fan is surreal, crazy, f***ing weird at times...

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Wall is shooting 35.5% from three.

You read that right, John Wall is shooting 35.5% from three-point range, on nearly 4 attempts per game. This season Wall is a better three-point shooter than Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook.

More 3s and FTs attempts... less long twos... then Wall will average close to 23 PPG

im out of town so I didnt get to watch as much of this as I wanted to. Before the game I said we play like crap at home but maybe the way we won at the end last night and with Wall carrying us, maybe we can get over the home hump. I felt that Wall would play great and with alot of energy which the team would feed off of.

However, I also said it will help alot if either or the crowd is big or if the Nets bring alot of fans which makes it big and seem like a road game. As Ive said before, I feel like we will do better at home in the playoffs and maybe late in the year because it will be a huge crazy amped up crowd. Tonights game proves that somewhat but will it be like that against teams who arent the Heat, Knicks, Lakers, and NY?

Our next few home games are against great teams like he Suns & Indy but the fans may not travel. Will we still have that same pep? Hopefully, our area will start to rally with the team since its the home stretch and we are playing well. We have 4 tough road games before then. We play better on the road but its still way out West and tough. Hopefully we can win atleast 2 and better yet 3 but I wouldnt be shocked if we go for 4 if Wall continues to play aggressive. I just want the home funk to end and then I will feel like we are ready for anyone. Its all about energy and tempo. We have it on the road but we dont at home. We had it this game and we won. Its that simple

Great to see Gooden performing. He sounds like he really wants his nba career to be ressurected. He can really shoot and fight for a rebound. When Nene gets back I don't see Trevor Booker getting any minutes at all which is great

I'm loving how our signed Vets are playing. Gooden, Miller and Harrington have brought much needed guidance and stability to this team and will be great for us in the playoffs!! Bring on whoever!!

Wait, what's Aaron Rodgers connection to Gooden, or the Wizards?

Ahh, nevermind, probably back from the Bucks days.

11 more wins = the best Wizards season in 34 years--'77/'78 when we lost in the Finals to Seattle. I see 10 games against opponents we need to beat left on the schedule. Six against opponents that are better than us. We need to beat everyone we're ostensibly better than and steal one against a good team. I want to finish 11-5 and go into the postseason rolling.

Wall's defense was spectacular tonight. What a player he's become. Combine it all with his leadership and he's the second or third best and most impactful player in the East. Elevating a 5-28 cellar dweller to second tier status.

By next season he's going to be one of the five best and most important players in the league. Hopefully Beal blows up next season so we can contend.

What a crowd tonight btw. Awesome atmosphere. This fan base is poised to embrace a winner. That Wall dunk at the end was unbelievable. The fan base has been waiting forever and yet it's not going to take a lot of time before you get awesome crowds every single game. Playoffs will be so much fun.

Basketball is King in this region. We know and love the sport and we're worthy of a good Pro Team with a special star and likable group of players.
