Chelsea double their lead.

Jesé leaving the pitch injured already. ****.

I like what he's shown this season. Kid's good on the ball and should mature to be a very well rounded midfielder. Schalke's plan seems to be a future Ayhan, Goretzka and Meyer midfield trio.

What?!? :-( What happened to my main man Jesé?

He was clearly winning a run towards the ball and a Schalke player just levelled him from behind. He immediately got stretchered off and subbed for Bale. First report going out is that it's an ACL tear. **** year this year in terms of injuries.

That sucks, I wouldn't call it unnecessary and it was shoulder to shoulder, but Kola threw himself into it excessively and that made it such a big collision. Hope Jese can make it back well!

Jese got the ball wide on the right and Kolasinac flew in shoulder-to-shoulder with so much force that he just steamrolled the little guy and ended up landing with most of his weight on Jese's knee. He was standing after getting stretchered off so I had hoped it wouldn't be that bad. 4-6 months really does suck extremely hard.

To me it seems pretty clear Jesé had blocked off the ball first :dontknow: I'm sure he didn't mean to land on Jesé's knee but it was pretty a pretty forceful foul for a situation where he wasn't winning the ball.

This ruins whatever slim chances the guy had of making the WC squad. Thins out our list of forwards as well. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Well, that **** sucks.

I don't know what it is with certain players whom I'm a big fan of (doesn't matter what sport by the way), they all have an ACL tear sooner or later.

Schalke fans are singing at the Bernabeu, knowing their team aren't progressing. Madrid fans joining in. Good times for all.

Brilliant goal, that.

Glad Morata got on the scoresheet. Post! Agh. If Ronaldo completes his hattrick then he'll be averaging a brace every game this UCL campaign :o

Oh it was a foul because Kola did go in way too emphatically, but it wasn't a particularly vicious foul as much as it was just a tragic outcome of a relatively innane challenge.

Yeah you could have played 11 random travelling fans, and they would have shown more fight. (though perhaps that's not much of a statement considering Gala fans passion  )
