I liked the continuous, unbroken shot of the chicken shack robbery; it was like a series of vignettes. Also, the low angle on the pier when everything was neon was cool.

Otherwise I don't think it's anything special, I mean the themes were a little on the nose - so it's not like it was uber-deep.

On the bright side, Franco was as good as billed. Might be his best performance thus far.

way to spoil everything EArl.

to answer Cobb, it actually is good. never got the hype when it started but I started probably Season 3 and felt like I didn't miss anything. has a good storyline imo. light humor that makes sense. not cheap at all.

first like 4 seasons were good, rest were awful.

Also the series finale took what was an ok show and made it complete utter ****, it doesnt matter anymore because they made their money and whatnot, but that ending ruined everything.

I was wondering why everyone was talking so much about that damn show. I've never seen an episode. It just didn't catch my attention.

Has anyone been watching a show called "Resurrection"?

so they basically took Friends, which was a god awful show to being with, shifted the coffee shop to a bar and sold it as a new series for 8 seasons? Bravo!

Never saw an episode, but now that it's over Jason will be hanging out again at least. He says it got pretty repetitive.

The ending was good - in a vacuum. The issue is that it renders the last four seasons or so completely superfluous; the development or rather regression of characters was eschewed for a "tidy-bow" ending. Personally, I pretty much disregard the last four season, seeing as the redundancy and lack of ingenuity was even made apparent by Jason Segal as his ties to the series only remained due to contractual obligation.

On a purely emotional level, I found the ending cathartic and fulfilling. It's what I always wanted for the show.

I'm going to have to disagree. The first few seasons displayed arguably the most realistic depiction of interpersonal dynamics between young professionals who are friends. The overlying arcs were about finding yourself and realizing what you want in a relationship, what love really is to you, e.t.c. were very poignant and hit close to home - especially when you're of the same age/place-in-life. In that sense it hit close to home for many, even obviously disillusioned and cynical people (ahem: stephano).
