Really? Sorry, Hands, you had no problem whatever with that deal when it was made. Would you like me to quote you? I don't want to embarrass you.

Why don't you try, for once, for the first time, the very first time, owning up to a mistake. Or, do I know why -- because once you started it'd be a long time before you ran out of mistakes to own up to.

Still like Jannero Pargo, Hands?

.
Join Uncle Ted's Monumental Entertainment Network as Ernie Grunfeld is interviewed about the "transparent rebuild process."

(Hint: I haven't heard Dave Johnson ask Ernie about drafting Jan Vesely at #6 or signing Eric Maynor on the first day of free agency. But Ernie talks about patience a lot.)

I wish I had time to respond fully to what Grunfeld says in this interview.

I have a question for the board and wanted to get everyones Opinion. With the Caps floundering in Mediocrity for the last 7-8 years and not getting over the hump. How does this affect Ted in relation to the Wizards:

1) He fires McPhee and Oates and makes him realize that the Wizards are doing the same thing and doesnt want to flounder Walls Prime with Mediocrity.

2) He fires McPhee and Oates and that turmoil makes him not want to follow suit with the Wizards at the same time and holds on to EG to have solidarity with one of his teams

3) He Keeps Everyone...Everywhere...Mediocrity...yay

Didn't hear the interview, it wasn't necessary. Ernie Grunfeld is %100 BS and hot air, he "manages" on-the-fly.

Hoping for an embarrassing playoff performance and the team quits on Wittman

I recall feeling this way (and posting about it) when we were down 0-3 to Cleveland one year, that the team would get destroyed so EFJ could get fired. But that was the year that Arenas and Butler were hurt, and the Wizards had no chance anyway. But I think it's important for this group to have a strong showing because that's the next step in their development IMO.

Yeah, I just can't root against them during the games - as much as I don't like EG or Wittman, when they are playing I am always hoping they win.

When there is more time to consider the issue, it does stop me from purchasing tickets.

It is tough to root against the team but what else can we hope for long term success? Talent helps but the coaching being a continue next year just sets us up for another disappointing lottery year when the coach is fired and an interim comes in.

It'd be better to have that momentum of embarrassment turn into real action to get a new approach which has to be better due the lowly strategies in place now in both coaching and in the front office

I'll root for the team and the players. I will NOT be rooting for this crappy FO to be kept.

Yeah, I hear you FAH... it just when the games start - I can't help it. I guess it is the definition fan or fanatic (n.) A person marked or motivated by an extreme, unreasoning enthusiasm, as for a cause.

It is completely unreasonable to expect us to improve without a change in the front office that carries throughout the organization - Einstein's law of insanity.

But when the ball goes up - I just can't help it...

It's natural reaction for a true fan to root for his or her team to win each and every time it plays, regardless of the downside as it relates to the coach and/or GM. Go Zards!

You are wrong. Here is the original post:

So the Cats took less time to return to the playoffs then the Wizards.

My fall-back position now is hoping for the Wizards to be decisively swept in the 1st. round, that is my only hope for change in the FO and coaching.

closg made a factual statement. You didn't like the statement and attempted to explain why it should be viewed less favorably than closg made it out to be. Alright, if you are going to do that, include all the facts like they have gone through multiple GMs, and the latest GM has gotten them into the playoffs within 1 season of taking over.

And what was the purpose of that factual statement. It was to say that CHA did a better job then the Wizards did. That isn't true and I explained why.

A factual statement can be misleading. Lawyers use that technique all the time.
