bottom line is the refs calls set the momentum and you do not win without momentum.

Golden State @ L.A. Clippers Ken Mauer David Jones Ed Malloy Michael Smith
By officiating crew (on the floor) ---> chance of HOME team winning 38%
Let's see if that pans out... So far, pretty easily for Indiana.
OKC - MEM looks like it's close, so we'll see if the refs influence that game.
GSW - LAC looks like GSW in control right now. That's the game you might expect the road team to win.
Of the refs left our WORST possible scenario would be a crew of:
Referee Games HomeTeamW%
Danny Crawford 6 0.333
Joe Crawford 6 0.333
Michael Smith 3 0.333
Pat Fraher 3 0.333
Derrick Stafford 5 0.2
Bennett Salvatore 4 0
Brian Forte 1 0
James Capers 2 0
Jason Phillips 1 0
Josh Tiven 1 0
Mike Callahan 1 0
Ron Garretson 1 0
Sean Wright 2 0
I actually hope we get the Crawfords now. They are going to be looking to increase that home win percentage!

If you go to nbastuffer to see their stats all three of the referees have below .500 of the home team winning in this years playoffs.

Joey Crawford is a terrible ref, but he's never been that bad for us. Sure, he's **** over teams like the Lakers, Spurs, etc., but I can't think of a time where he screwed the Raptors.

Crawford? Man, how does the worst ref in the NBA keep getting playoff assignments. Unbelievable. Also, I think the NBA would want Toronto to advance over Brooklyn. Bigger market and all.

Record this season (Post-Gay):
Joey Crawford
vs Boston - Win (Toronto Fouls: 21, Boston Fouls: 16)
vs Warriors - Win (Toronto Fouls: 18 GStats Fouls: 22)
@ Wizards - Win (Toronto Fouls: 20 Washington Fouls: 18)
Bill Spooner
@ Miami - Lose (Toronto Fouls: 25 Miami Fouls: 14)
@ Portland - Lose (Toronto Fouls: 30 Portland Fouls: 24)
vs Indiana - Win (Toronto Fouls: 18 Indiana Fouls: 27)
@ OKC - Win (Toronto Fouls: 29 OKC Fouls: 28)
Derrick Stafford:
@NY Knicks - Lose
@ Wizards - Win (Toronto Fouls: 25 Washington Fouls: 19)
vs Minnesota - Win (Toronto Fouls: 27 Minnesota Fouls: 25)
Actually, it's actually sort of a good thing Joey Crawford is reffing if you consider our record this season after the Gay trade.
Bill Spooner though..HOLY ****?
Expect a lot of bs calls and ticky tack calls against the Raptors today, specifically from him. (One of the biggest disparities is the Miami game.)
Expect JV to be in foul trouble. Seems to be a common trend in all these games and one of the Lowry/Ross to be in foul trouble as well.

FTA leaders, TOR-BKN:
1) DeMar DeRozan, 72
2) Kyle Lowry, 35
3) Deron Williams, 31
4) Joe Johnson, 29
5) Jonas Valanciunas, 21
Free throw attempts does not tell the story of when fouls are, and are not, called.
For example, if Toronto is down by 1 and Derozan goes for the game winning shot, and gets body slammed by all five Brooklyn players, then a non-call here would not even affect your FTA list despite it having major impact on the outcome of the game. It'll still look like Derozan got the benefit of the whistle all series long.
It's an extreme example but I'm just using it to illustrate the pointlessness of your post.
100? Would100 free throws for derozen do it?

Re: The Refs [Merged]
The refs have been atrocious this series.
It's not about the # of fouls, its the way they are called.
The Nets are getting some soft calls that the Raptors will never get. If JV got the same calls as the Nets did, he'd be at the free throw line 12-15 times a game.

"reputation call" is one of the most often used words by commentators during Brooklyn games all season.
I was always told that I had a chameleon soul, no moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality; just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide and as wavering as the ocean...

Go strong, go often and force the refs to make calls. Way too much outside, perimeter play last night. I know the Nets aren't giving up the paint but you gotta take it.
this team got hear by passing and playing aggressive team ball, that's all I'm asking for game 7.
When they get to reach in all over you on the perimeter, how the heck do you drive to the net?

Honestly...
'Nuff said.
Refs records don't lie. NBA is the most predictable betting option because of this.
