Pass, rarely do teams go for a quantity for quality kind of trade.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Greetings!

Would you guys do a trade for Harrison Barnes for Spencer Hawes?

Barnes isn't going to flourish here with both Iggy and Green (who is turning out to be more of importance to us throughout the season and even in the playoffs).

And Barnes and Irving are buds. They'll be up and coming duo along with Waiters and Thompson.

Of course we would but Golden State wouldn't. Hawes is a free agent too i think

lol outside of the main 3 (KI/TT/DW) you can get anything off the roster for Barnes.

Trade proposal from the Hawks:

Jeff Teague and the #15 draft pick this year in exchange for Kyrie Irving and a 2nd round draft pick?

Just as a starting point? Other sweeteners added for balance?!?

I'm up for trading Kyrie but not for that. Management wouldn't look twice at the offer.

There's literally no combination of players ATL could offer for Kyrie.

Horford/Teague/2014 ATL 1st/2015 BKN 1st for Irving/Thompson/filler is about the best they could do.

I think horford needs a situation where he's shifted back to his natural position.

Cavs aren't that team though.

How about Wright + Ellington + Mekel + 2015 1st for Deng SNT instead of losing him for nothing ?

How about no. your asking for the cavs to give up there cap space for spare parts and a conditional draft pick due to the ill fated Lamar Odom deal.

The Mavs pick in 2015 has no conditions . The Odom deal has passed with Dallas finishing with a Top 10 Record this year so the #21 2014 pick goes to OKC ending the Odom trade and making Dallas available to trade all future 1st .

But anyway fine Cleveland doesn't want a Dallas pick and 2 expirings for Deng who is leaving anyway , then Dallas will just sign Deng with cap space .

If anything I would expect Cleveland would prefer a couple of expirings that they can trade . Just Curious who do you think Cleveland is going to convince to use their cap space on ?

No one. If they are all expiring a I'd probably do that deal.

And you can not trade back to back first round picks. The mavs would need two first round picks in 2015 to pull it off. FYI, the cavs will be trying to make the playoffs next season and this deal set them backwards for that goal. You seem to fail to understand the importance of cba cap space with the new cba. This is really bad deal for the cavs and I am pretty sure the cavs Gm wouldn't consider a one sided deal like this that would prevent them from making the playoffs due to not having cap space to increase their talent to have a chance of a playoff run next season for the cavs. Since the cavs have dengS bird rights, they would be better of over paying and resigning him instead of accepting a bad deal that would prevent them from reaching their goal of making the playoffs.

Your wrong about the picks .. Maybe you should go study the CBA ..

You can not trade back2back FUTURE 1st rd picks .

As soon as the 2014 draft is over Dallas can trade 2015 / 2017 / 2019 picks

I really doubt Cleveland will be re-signing Deng . Good luck with that .

That's fine if Cleveland doesn't want the SNT Dallas will just sign with their cap space and keep their picks since they cant trade them anyway .

That's overstating things by quite a bit.
