not sure. being way too fat and health issues? or not many teams needing a 3-4 NT?

there he goes, to the Texans.

Dang texans are loaded for that 3-4 lucky bastards

i was just in the mood to read about Robert Gallery this morning....
for all the, "lol davis only drafts the fastest guy in the draft" stuff, he surely did try to set our franchise up with the best OT prospect in years and this kid couldn't hack it.

it's srsly pissing me off now wondering how our franchise could have been different if he panned out.

anywho....Im posting this hoping that we're past this and that Reggie is hitting somewhere around 60% on all of his moves. I've said he needs to be darn near perfect this draft.....but I think i'm being a little tough. Great last 2 days for us.

we just picked up the biggest cornerback in this draft, and possibly the biggest in NFL come next season. 4.4 40 time doesn't look too shabby either.

Ellis is a DE type pass rusher in a NT's body. we are gonna have some pass rushing now with Mack - Tuck - Ellis - Woodley pressuring all over the line

II'd rather go 3-4 than 4-3....but I know our staff wants to mix it up.

but Ellis was a great pickup.
all i wanted was a fat body clogging sh** up and opening up lanes for Nick Roach and co. to blitz/ devour runners in the back field.

ya I prefer 3-4 too but it looks like everyone we have as DTs are all suited as 4-3 DT.
although now I think Ellis could be a great 3-4 DE.
I guess we still have time to sign players as training camp cuts are made but I suppose we can still roll with Pat Sims as a NT or plug Ellis in as a NT in obvious passing downs

still have Brock Vereen and Dion Bailey on the board. Dion Bailey had the best 3 cone drill and shuttle drill numbers in the entire draft.

wish we can trade away all 3 7th rounders and move up to pick up one of the two safeties i have mentioned. but we need depth everywhere and we will probably keep the last rounders and wait.

yeaaa... 3 7ths is good, but i agree and see us moving up to grab best on board somewhere. i think we can develop our WRs well because we didn't really have a great QB to make throws even with our pretty good offensive line. Probably a better slot receiver or TE that can bail us out on a check down.

AFC west is a pass first division so i pray we address our super terrible pass def..

I still think we are lacking that #1 go to guy, but between Streater, Jones, Moore, Butler, and Holmes, we have size and speed to spread the defense out. as you have said, the slot and TE would be more crucial for us and I see us using Jones as the #1 guy, and either Moore or Streater filling in the #2 guy, and whoever gets that slot/TE job would be the #1 target for Schaub.

one thing I am hoping for, is for Michael Sam to continue to slide into the 7th round for us to pick him up with one of our trio of options there.

just imagine what our front 7 would look like,

Mack - Tuck - Roach - Sio - Smith - Woodley - Ellis - Sam? that is 8 guys who are somebody when it comes to pass rushing, without even counting in the starting DTs like Sims and McGee.
