Hell if he came to the Raptors he could rename the team for all I care to the Toronto LeBron's.
Plus get 365 gigolo's to keep his mom happy every day.

My brother made a point to me which made it sound, not likely by any means, but actually plausable and make sense as to why Lebron would consider Toronto.

1. Lebron will not go West
2. Dwayne Wade is injured and due to his ties with the team, he will be re-signed with them, so he pretty much has a falling asset beside him
3. Chris Bosh although good, with Wades injury problems, if he re-signs is basically a team of Bosh, Lebron and a bunch of role players with little to no depth at the big positions
4. If Miami loses this year, Bosh may leave, leaving a big hole, and if he stays they are cap full, who could replace Bosh and if he stays and this team loses, how does Lebron believe this team could win next year when they couldn't do it this year with Wade only regresses more?
5. Where in the East are viable options?

Cleveland? He wants to go to a team that has a name star, not a star who actually wins games? Forget about all the stuff that happened in Cleveland, we all know they would take him back with open arms, but are he and Kyrie a tandem who could do a lot?

Washington? This I could really see happening, but it's contingent on the health of Nene.

Where else in the East is really viable other than these two teams and Toronto. Indiana, definitely not, BKN, I can't see anything plausible with their cap space, NY, same as BKN, and the fact that I can't see how he would work with those teams. Chicago? I don't see Lebron going there and being called a Jordan wannabe.

With Tim L at the helm, who has pedigree, Toronto now all of a sudden being the hot topic around the league with fantastic fans, and a damn good team around it, you aren't telling me we aren't at least in the conversation?

No we won't in all likelihood get him, but it is not that outlandish to think it possible.

If it is a sign and trade then we have pretty good assets compared to most (IE Ross/Val/Vas/Picks).

To me Washington, Cleveland and Toronto are the only other options that make sense. We have to pray that Miami loses and that 1% chance at least turns into 5%.

I'd rather have Durant :)

Lol, yeah just like the Bobcat said Leiweke was going to leave because it's too cold.

Bob McCowan doesn't know a single thing about the NBA.

And some of you question whether he is needed or wanted here? Are you afraid of having multiple championships? The Jays bought thier World Series teams and no one complained then.

If you have one ounce of reservation about signing the best player on the planet and will probably end up being the GOAT then stop posting because you are either bipolar or 5 years away from getting your driver's license. Jesus Almighty.

The Raptors pride themselves on going after character guys. How can you just assume LeBron is one? Its a delicate process. People have every right to have their reservations.

I'm sorry but

Only way Lebron even leaves Miami is if the Heat don't win a championship this season.

Toronto Lebrons, Lebrons Raptors. We could rename the city to Lebron and let Gloria design the new jersey scheme. Give him the keys to the city, drinking buddy in mayor Ford and all the multicultural women he can handle. How could he say no to that?

Without the cap space how is this even possible? We would have to gut the team in a sign and a trade. Probably have to give up Ross, Val, and multiple 1st round picks at the very least

They would pay the tax for Lebron, brother. They would make it all back 10-fold, brother.

It's not that simple brother.

If we don't have the cap space to sign LeBron outright, we have to negotiate with the Heat on a sign and trade.

I believe the only way to go over the cap is through exceptions.

Toronto should offer up equity to get LeBron.
1/8 ownership of the Raptors + Leafs.

I agree McCown knows nothing about the NBA.

However, I did hear the interview on PTS where Bob straight-up asked TL about those rumours and Tim didn't exactly go out of his way to disperse them, even reminding Bob that he came to Toronto to put them on the right track (went on to highlight the Raps as a proof point).

Definitely gave the impression that he's not here long term, but I guess I didn't expect that anyway.
