I'd take it in a heartbeat.

I'm only trading Larry if we get Embiid. If Vonleh or maybe Smart drop to #8 that'd be the only way I consider it otherwise.

I would move Henson for one of those as well. I like Henson, but I'd add Randle to the names above that I would consider trading him for.

I'd probably move Henson for as low as like 14, no matter who we draft at #2 even.

Is Kevin Love just looking to get back to the coast? Do we know what his motivation is exactly? I think next to Sanders, we could be amazing. I'd trade the second pick for him if a contract were in place.... humor me.

#2
John Henson
OJ Mayo

for

Kevin Love
#13

Sign: Jodie Meeks

Wolters - Knight
Meeks
Giannis - Middleton
Love - Ersan
Sanders - Zaza

Slav
#13 (Stauskas?)
Delfino (?)
2nd rounders

I think that's a home court team in the East. Probably a 50+ winner.

No chance. Our only choice is to build through the draft. We finally hit the jackpot, getting the #2 in the lottery and people want to move it for a guy who likely won't re-sign here.

Love is good, but he doesn't add 30 wins to a team. That and no-way in hell he resigns in Milwaukee.

I'd love to turn Henson into Stauskas.

Wish they would've called Hammond out on this. When Larry went down and Hammond asked why Henson wasn't getting minutes at Center, Hammond insisted Henson was a PF. At the same time Ersan was hobbled and Drew insisted that he didn't want to have Henson's role changing so he started Caron and when Caron got hurt Middleton started at PF. Then Hammond acquires Adrien and suddenly Henson is moved to back-up Center. Next they declare Ersan done for the year, but Henson gets zero minutes at PF. It just seems to me that Henson was jerked around all season long. I realize that Henson didn't bulk up last summer like they wanted him to, and that during the season he mailed it in most nights as the season wore on but I think it's because they were jerking him around that he gave up.

I just think Henson sort of has a b*tch type of mentality. It shows when you watch his game. The one thing I respected from Drew was his willingness to tell that fat fool OJ Mayo to get his act together before he can play. That likely contributed to Henson's low minutes too. I can accept that if that its the case. I can't stand these professional athletes who act this way.

Maybe we can convince Sacramento to take Henson/Ersan for 8.

So what if Henson can't be serious for two minutes, he produces on the court. Shaq acts the same way, so does Howard. You aren't going to change who they are, and besides it's not like he's a cancer. I think that they sat Mayo down because he was going to fat his way into a knee injury. The worst part about keeping Hammond+Drew is that Larry+Mayo+Henson aren't going to get a clean slate coming into camp. All the crap that happened last year is going to hang over their heads and continue to demotivate them. The my-way-or-the-highway approach is fine with the head coach but you better have an assistant that can pick these players up and dust them off and get their heads back in it and I didn't see anyone reaching these guys last year.

why should they get a clean slate? If they don't care enough to be professional athletes and motivate themselves then I don't want them on the team.

The only excuse I could see Henson having is some sort of personality conflict with Drew that goes back to the NC Drew Jr. fiasco. Personally, I am not a fan of John's. Dude needs to shape it up with a quickness or GTFO.

I guess this is what happens when you hype two players up for about two years, regardless of what happens during the season in which they actually play. Does Hammond have the stones to pass on Parker for Embiid if Cleveland takes Wiggins? Ted Thompson sure as hell would, and I'd like to believe Hammond wouldn't be influenced by uninformed public opinion, but I am not 100% sure of that.

Good coaches find ways to reach ALL of their players and All their different personalities, it's what made the Zen master such a great coach, he found a way to relate to all the players on his team and deal with the personality conflicts. Or we can continue to drive half the teams players values into the dirt and discard them for garbage like we did under Herb.

I disagree. I think the chances are 50-50 that a player drafted at 8 will be better than Sanders in this draft.

The upside is definitely higher, floor is lower. But if I had to roll the dice and shed 44M from the books.. count me in. For as good as Sanders is offensively, his net impact on the offensive end is a wash. I understand the love, but he shouldn't be in the 5 year plan for this team. This is how we need to look at this draft.

Kings Scenario
Sanders for #8

Lakers Scenario
Nash+1 for Sanders+ Knight or Henson.

Buyout agreement with Nash if he wants it, which he probably would. Draft McBuckets at 7 or 8. Personally, i think he might vault ahead of Randle/Vonleh/Smart... just depends on who is drafting and for what.

Trade from 2 to 3. Get 3/10.

Three lotto picks. 1 less cancer, 1 less chucker, OKC rebuild on track... top 5 pick in the 2015 draft. 2015 is just plum loaded with bigs. If Embiid is there at 3 and his back is 100%.. ok draft him, otherwise.. wait until 2015. There are so many bigs in that draft. Im not 100% sold that Philly will trade the 10 to move up 1 spot, depends on how much of a jones they have to get either Wiggins or Parker. They could use a 3 for the future in a pretty big way, not so much point guard or center. We are in the position where we literally could use a player at any position on the court. Giannis is a great player to have, but I wouldn't be not drafting Parker or Wiggins because Giannis could play the 2 or 3 just fine.
Khris Middleton - Beating up on Trash Can Teams since 1943. Invisible Man status otherwise.

This article says we are eyeing Stauskas, Young, and LaVine among others for a late lotto pick.

EDIT: Saw Woelfel's name in the article, move along. Sorry for wasting your time.

I would do that trade just to watch Nash play with Giannis and Wiggins 10 minutes a game. The passing would be amazing.

I hate the trade, though. Who would be the PGs? And I just don't see Randle being better than Sanders and Knight combined.

That's what you say about about a guy who has to learn to play PG, I don't believe Exum is going to be able to score as easily against NBA players as he is Australian high schoolers. High school competition doesn't tell you squat, high school tape made Sam Dekker look like the second coming of Larry Bird. What do you think he'd look like in the NBA right now?

Exum being a top pick has nothing to do with any games he played at high school. You're just making you0rself look really ignorant.

I'm really looking forward to getting some prospects coming in for workouts. What do we think, will we be seeing some of the top guys coming in as early as next week or are we going to be waiting a while longer than that?

Well we already have a workout lined up with CJ Fair, so it sounds like we're getting an early jump on all the top guys...
