I think a few years from now it will be looked back upon as Enbiid, Parker, (maybe Wiggins). I would be pumped if they took Wiggins but I worry about a delusional optimism always perpetually disappointing me, "if he would just ..."
I watched way too many of these kids college games, interviews, and read way too many scouting reports. Embiid plays basketball, Parker plays basketball, Wiggins is just on the court. Yes, Wiggins D is very nice and Parker drifts in and out of making good defensive decisions. I question whether I really want a player who plays good D and can knock down a jumper, while once in a while driving past his overplaying defender is really worth the #2. I mean, that is a great player to have ... as your number three guy.
I give Wiggins a 1.7% chance of being a top 5 player, but we've seen those odds succeed before.
