I heard they also play in shoes but it could be a rumor, I never seen an actual NBA game.

The point of the measuring is to figure out what kind of player you're getting. Someone can wear massive platform shoes to measurements, but would obviously not be able to in a game.

Unless these guys were wearing high heels, these are all freakish measurements. What a draft.

How much did Parker weigh?

+1. When someone asks me how tall I am, I never go "well in shoes I'm....."

I think it makes sense to measure in shoes. I mean, it's not like they're playing on the court barefoot.

Eh, If it's the official measurements I'd rather be precise and really know how tall they are.

Here's a question aside from shoes: if someone has a tall flat-top, is it measured????

 This x1000.

Though if they're actually measured heights, as opposed to "listed heights", I don't have as much of a problem with in-shoes measurements. Still, separate with and without shoes measurements would be ideal.
Now that's the difference between first and last place.

For some reason I'm picturing Jabari Parker showing up in heels.

I'm 6'7 in shoes & that's the height I give to people.

I'm 6'6" barefooted and that's what I tell people. I have a pair of Rose's adidias and I swear that **** makes me 6'8"-6'9".

Yea but I also get tired of telling people my actual height and they go "ZOOOOOMG! NO WAY! You look way taller than that!"

Not visibly obvious, but an inch of difference here and there? Yea you could get away with that.

I don't know how you play ball but they're meant for quick guards. I'm quick and I have a quick crossover. They're insanely light. If you play like a big man, stick with hyperdunks. Rose's shoes don't provide good ankle support. You will roll your ankles to hell if you aren't on your toes.

The NBA is obsessed with making its players seem taller than they actually are for some reason. It really is silly.

There's no way that Wiggins is 6'8.75 shoes. Here he is standing next to Scott Van Pelt who is 6'6
