Donald Sterling surrendered ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday to his estranged wife — who was secretly negotiating selling the NBA team, according to a report.
The 80-year-old billionaire — who was issued a lifetime ban from professional basketball after a recording of his racist comments surfaced last month — allegedly made the deal out of fear officials would force an involuntary sale of the team, sources told TMZ.
His wife, Shelly, and her lawyer have been discussing the sale with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, because she has more leverage to negotiate a better deal, the website reported.
Sources told ESPN that if she was willing to sell the team in its entirety, a deal could be finalized soon.

fuuuuuck. this series has me frustrated for the second year in a row. if only Indy had eight guys they could completely trust. that's all they need. once again they're going to come close to beating the Heat, yet won't do it. for **** sakes, it should have easily been 2-1 Indiana after these 3 performances we've seen.

Well Ibaka is back and OKC wins but what toll will it take on his body going into Game 4?

But when he is good he is an MVP candidate. His basketball IQ and shot selection at times is insanely bad

A must win for Indiana tonight. I think Miami will blow them out.

Bosh is on fire, the Heat are off to a quick start.

Why can't I post in the general NBA forum?

Why is there a 100 day Waiting Period to post on The General NBA Discussion Forum?

In the summer of 2012, we decided to make some reforms to our General NBA Forum to improve the discussion on the forum.

Unlike some of our other large forums, The General NBA Discussion Forum has posters that are fans of all 30 NBA Teams, as well as many individual players. There is far more debate and a lot of violations are committed because of that debate amongst fan bases and a lot of users who simply want to stir up trouble.

In addition, many users were getting a ton of violations for our General NBA Discussion Forum while receiving none in any other forum and ones who were banned were coming back with new accounts picking right up where they left off.

We decided that a 100-day waiting period would help new users adjust to the forum and dramatically cut back on recently-banned users coming back and derailing user discussion.

While inconvient to some, this policy has helped us dramatically improve discussion on our General NBA Forum and led to less users being banned simply for offenses committed on the General NBA Discussion Forum.

The Heat just didn't bother to show up for Game 1. Whether it be too much rest (is that possible?), rust, etc. I still think the on / off switch will hurt them especially against San Antonio.

i think the hornets with jefferson on one foot would have played better these last 3 games.

it will be interesting to see what happens to this pacers team this summer. do they shake things up with a new coach and roster changes or keep the team together for another run. 3 years in a row losing to the heat should be enough to try something different. this team is desperate for more shooting. i hope cho is paying attention.

not being on the general board is so much better for your sanity. some of the posters/mods there are IDIOTS.
