You're going to be thoroughly surprised if you think that both Belgium and Russia play bad football. And if you think this is the worst group ever, I assume it's the very first WC you're going to watch?

I don't think they play bad football, but I don't see a team from that group going far in the tournament. Belgium could do it, but I think they're too young. Their furure is bright, though. Russia and South Korea? Meh.

That being said, it might very well not be the worst group ever, that's an exaggeration. That was just my initial reaction after the draw.

They have been awful in their friendlies leading up to the tournament, conceding 5 goals and scoring none in two losses to Tunisia and Ghana.

They have some great young talent in the midfield, but will have trouble scoring. The strikers named are not good, sorry.

They will need 4 or 5 points to advance, and I'm not sure where those points are coming from. Best case scenario is probably a draw with Russia and a win over Algeria, but both of those teams have been playing much better than Korea recently.

한국분 이세요?

I think we got what it takes to advance. Who knows about 박주영, he can turn it on at any time. We shall see whether we'll see the 2012 Olympic Bronze Medal Game Park, or the Arsenal Park. For alot of these players, it'll be their first WC, so theyll have alot to prove and alot of expectations. I'm sure players would want to prove they can do it without Ji-Sung.

It'll be good to watch. 화이팅!

Not Korean, just live here.

It will be interesting to see the atmosphere in the country this time. Last time most games were on in the late evening IIRC. This time the Russia game is at 7 AM on a Wednesday.

I'll root for Belgium this world cup. Enough of the same countries winning.

I'm rooting for South Korea, but I doubt they advance in this group. They've really shown poorly in the last several exhibition games. If I were a betting man, I'd say they lose to Russia and Belgium, and tie Algeria. I really hope I'm proven wrong though.

I think you'll all be surprised by Korea's and Algeria's performances.

I still think Russia and Belgium will qualify but it won't be a cakewalk.
The gap between the bad teams and the good teams has been significantly lower this tournament, at least so far.

And the friendlies prior to the World Cup have shown that Algeria and Korea can play football.

Let's wait and see before we throw this group into the gutter.

Rooting heavily for Belgium btw.

I'm dying to see Witsel and Dzagoev. Only get to watch Witsel on some preliminary stage games, and the guy looks totally a stud to me. Dzagoev is a nice prospect too. Want to see them on some giant side.

I know I'm biased cause I'm from Belgium but he indeed is a stud imo. Has never disappointed me and so important for the balane of this team. Algeria will be a thoug opener though. The Belgian squad has been dying to finally play their first game and I'm a bit afraid of the big pressure. I hope we score early but that has happened in every game this tourney.... Hope we finish our chances. Afraid of 0-0.

Our country has been waiting for this for 12yrs now ..

I just hope they won't disappoint us :D cause that would be a typical Belgian thing to do

I also hope Witsel can prove himself on the biggest stage in the world and FINALLY go to a bigger club. No disrespect to Zenit, but he deserves to play in a bigger club IMO. Why Arsenal or ManU haven't looked at him recently, I don't get it. ManU shoulda bought him instead of Fellaini

Go Belgium!! I really hope they do well, they are my #2 team during this World Cup easily. The fact that they field some of my favorite former Ajax players (Alderweireld & Vertonghen) helps as well. I also appreciate good defenses in general, more than most people. Love that Belgian back 4 + Courtois

This is the best Belgian squad I've seen during my life, and their group is doable, I just hope they don't break my heart and screw up.

I would laugh so much if Belgium blunders its way to a 93th minute 0-0, gets one last corner, and is bailed out by a header of old man Daniel van Buyten. Youth is overrated :D

That's exactly why I (and most of Belgian press) expect Van Buyten to start .. Need some experience in the team for this game, and Vermaelen isn't really in the form of his life

Belgium have some young players but most of that team are entering their primes. The next euros should be the highwater-mark for them, but they'll still make noise this go around.

The top two players in the RPL, Dzagoev is such a phenomenal talent, although he may not be a starter since capello is a dinosaur. Kokorin will start though and he's a really good talent as well.

Dzagoev is extremely overrated player. I have been hearing his name for years but he never made it to another level.
